Bebés, lactancia materna y más: mayo 2010
http://bebeslactanciaymas.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
http://workingmomredundancies.blogspot.com/2008/06/june-update.html
Working Motherhood and other redundancies. Thoughts and musings from the crazy world of Eli and Lena's mom. Friday, June 27, 2008. The one silver lining is the half-siblings and other distant relatives have gotten back in touch again. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We have been skunked and good this winter by the snow. We've had little dustings here and there, but by and large, by a matter of a few miles, we have bee. Been a long time but I thought I would share what we have planned for Josh's 8th b...

Working Motherhood & other redundancies: "I miss Bostim"
http://workingmomredundancies.blogspot.com/2008/05/i-miss-bostim.html
Working Motherhood and other redundancies. Thoughts and musings from the crazy world of Eli and Lena's mom. Wednesday, May 28, 2008. No, not a typo, just quoting Eli upon our return home Monday. Apparently the T subway and fast slide in the Tadpole Playground in Boston Common were the parts he missed most. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). We have been skunked and good this winter by the snow. We've had little dustings here and there, but by and large, by a matter of a few miles, we have bee. Alex's Su...

Working Motherhood & other redundancies: October 2009
http://workingmomredundancies.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Working Motherhood and other redundancies. Thoughts and musings from the crazy world of Eli and Lena's mom. Monday, October 26, 2009. Lena had her 2nd birthday recently. She is really growing up and isn't a baby anymore. Well, she's still little, but that doesn't stop her from doing big-kid things. The surprise at her checkup was that she is gaining ground on the growth charts (although as much as she eats she should be a linebacker)! For anything good) and "Eli did it! She was a really amazing patient a...

The Birth Spool: Postpartum Comfort Pads
http://birthspool.blogspot.com/2008/02/postpartum-comfort-pads.html
Putting a new spin on women's work. These soothing pads do wonders for soreness and swelling after vaginal birth! Prepare 18-24 ahead of time; this is a great early labor project! Aloe Vera gel (this is an edible liquid, not a topical ointment, and can be found in health food stores). Sounds like these pads really help, I hadnt heard of them until now! The Birth Spool: 04.08
http://birthspool.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
Putting a new spin on women's work. Doctor, Did You Wash Your Hands? From the NY Times. Despite national campaigns encouraging patients to take an active role in improving hospital safety, many patients aren’t comfortable asking doctors challenging questions about their care, a new report shows. Why do we treat doctors as authority figures? Why are we afraid of making them angry or disappointed in us? Why would we rather sacrifice our own or our children's health than risk offending? Women, if you have i...

Putting a new spin on women's work. Hospital Water Birthing in Syracuse, NY! Check out Kristen Oganowski's VBAC, hypnobirthing, hospital water birth story. Hers was the first water birth at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, New York. Her birth from the perspective of her doula, Chris Goldman follows Kristen's account. This is a wonderful, inspirational birth story, but even more encouraging are the comments following both articles that indicate hospital waterbirth is on the rise in Central New York. An email ...
