Thursday, July 30, 2009. Day 24- 18 to go. It almost seems doable now. The days that passed are greater than those left. When we say in 2.5 weeks it comes off, that seems so little! I have had requests to see lali zipping around, so here is a video of him doing his favorite thing, chasing shira. Monday, August 31, 2009. So its been 2 weeks and what a pleasure to be able to bathe him as needed! This past Friday was the first day that i observed lali walking and his leg looked to be turning straight. he still limps, but he is able to get around much easier, i don't carry him unless i see he is tired or its really uneven ground. He is able to run a bit and loves to show us what he can do. i guess when the doc said 2 weeks to walk, he knew what he was saying! Or lali can walk! He preferred the sand.

Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Day 37-5 to go. So what i did was i added more padding, (rolled cotton from the drugstore) and taped moleskin over it. this closed the opening more so the diaper stays tucked in and is not loose. the diaper really has to be snug. during the day i just do this, but at night i add a sanitary pad first, and then the diaper over it. The other thing is that i push down on his stomach so that the diaper is tucked flat inside the cast,. And is not folded over like this. Here is a video...
