Ho, boy, I was SO wrong! I'm particularly excited about this discovery because I have a report due on the HIV virus for Biology and now it's going to be super easy. I've always been a library girl - all the way back to childhood when people still used card catalogs. I'm utterly delighted that the libraries I use have managed to keep up with me and are still so relevant and useful to people these days. But don't you long for the Dewey decimal system sometimes?

Sherlock Holmes - The Paradoxical Ideal. I am currently listening to the second Sherlock Holmes novel, The Sign of the Four. So that's kind of where the paradox lies for me. The things I most admire about Holmes' character are the very same things that I think make him deficient, in some ways. He doesn't simply. The tools of observation, logic, and deduction, he has. An extension of these tools. He is, in a way, a slave to them, unable to make any action on faith or intuition.

Just dreamed that I was already back at kung fu, practicing kicking. Even though I was still technically sprained, I was also running up and down the mats just to test my ankle and it didn't hurt a bit. It was fun!

Hokey format aside, there can be some solid wisdom in a list like that, for example, the notion of picking up small glass shards with a moistened cotton ball to make sure you get them all.
