From Austin to Africa: A Story of Hope...
http://fromaustintoafrica.blogspot.com/2010/11/story-of-hope.html
From Austin to Africa. Saturday, November 6, 2010. A Story of Hope. Hope has been a part of my journey in Uganda since the beginning. Hope has been a constant during my time here; a reminder of what it means to trust, a reminder to greet everyday with expectation, to meet every task with perseverance, and to walk though life with Hope. You see, Hope is a 15-year-old Sudanese girl that has changed my life and the lives of those around me. Let me start from the beginning…. As a result of her pregnancy, the...

From Austin to Africa: The JOY of Uganda
http://fromaustintoafrica.blogspot.com/2010/12/joy-of-uganda.html
From Austin to Africa. Thursday, December 9, 2010. The JOY of Uganda. It’s hard to believe my time here is ending. I get on a plane tonight! It has truly flown by and Austin, TX is on the horizon. I am excited and scared because I don’t know what’s next. I don’t know if I can honesty sum up my time here. My heart couldn’t focus on this one story because I was so overwhelmed by ALL the stories I had seen, heard, and been a part of during my time here. But a transformation happens while you are here. Y...

Thursday, April 7, 2011. Her family birthday cake picture. About to blow out the candles. And trying to hide her smile from us. Playing with some of ther friends in the gym. The birthday girl gets to paint her hands on the wall and they stay up for the entire year. All her friends gathered around for cake and presents. And another cake. I think turning 5 deserves two cakes.at least. Queen of My Domain. Tuesday, April 5, 2011. The many faces of Z. And I get this. Queen of My Domain. Labels: Life with Kids.

Saturday, April 23, 2011. The egg hunt was not as crazy as last years and in fact I think the baskets got full before all the eggs were gathered. But the kids persevered and somehow found all the eggs. I briefly got a picture of them showing off their loot before all the kids congregated on the steps to compare, trade and just eat candy. Saturday, April 2, 2011. Start of soccer season. We finally agreed to let A. play a little soccer this season. We had been holding out just for our own sake of not having to commit to another team. But she's been begging and she finally got her chance. Normally it would be me and the the three youngest since Hubs and Z. always were at baseball. So naturally a lot of time was spent at the park area as well. This provided lots of opportunity to get pictures of my monkeys hanging out. Queen of My Domain.

Monday, January 2, 2012. Hard to believe it's been half a year since I last posted. My blogging has suffered tremendously because of the simple fact that I do not have enough hours in the day to get every thing done. So my blog is down at the bottom of the list. The kids have all gotten older.and so have the parents. Queen of My Domain. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. As Many as We're Given. Five Minutes for Mom. From Austin to Africa: It's Fall Ya'll...
http://fromaustintoafrica.blogspot.com/2010/10/its-fall-yall.html
From Austin to Africa. Thursday, October 7, 2010. I have always LOVED Fall! Hands down it is my favorite season. And really, how could it not be. Growing up in Tennessee, every September always began with great anticipation. We were always waiting for the first brisk sunny day, for Mamaw’s first homemade stew of the season, the first football game, and for the first trees to change into their brilliant yellows and fiery reds. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone;.

From Austin to Africa: September 2010
http://fromaustintoafrica.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
From Austin to Africa. Wednesday, September 29, 2010. This past weekend I had the privilege of being part of the Love Kampala Festival. The festival is hosted my Andre Palau, an international evangelist. His organization host’s a festival every year in a different African nation. The festival is preceded by a season of service. This is a time to encourage local churches to engage and serve their communities. Notably, Barbara Kayaga and the African Children’s Choir. You may have never been to Uganda or Af...
