This blog is about stuff we learn about in Biology class. It is based on the PLANTS unit. Thursday, December 20, 2007. 1 Outline the wide diversity in the plant kingdom as examplified by the structural differences between bryophytes, filicinophytes, coniferophytes, and angiospermiophytes. This means it lacks transport tissues. They are small and restricted to moist, terrestial environments. These plants do not possess "true roots.". These include Mosses, liverworks, and hornworts. Angiospermophytes are f...

P L A N T S: Lesson 38 - Dicotyledenous Plant Structure
http://compactklr.blogspot.com/2007/12/lesson-38-dicotyledenous-plant.html
Thursday, December 20, 2007. Lesson 38 - Dicotyledenous Plant Structure. Outline the wide diversity in the plant kingdom as exemplified by the structural differences. Between bryophytes, filicinophytes, coniferophytes, and angiospermiophytes. Such as mosses and liverworts possess no 'true' roots, stems, or leaves. They are small and restricted to moist, terrestrial environments. Bryophytes are also non-vascular which means they lack any transport tissues such as the xylem and phloem. The dermal tissue su...

Enhance my Plants: January 2008
http://lovelylauren7.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 21, 2008. My plant project will be developed around a spider plant. The spider plant is scientifically known as Chlorophytum comosum. Spider plants can grow quickly and easily in the house. Spiders plants may grow up to 2 to 2½ feet wide and 2 to 3 feet long. Spider plants grow best with bright indirect light. Ideal temperatures for the spider plant are between 65 and 75 ° F during the day and 50 to 55 °F at night. These shoots may be removed, rooted, and re-planted.

This blog is about stuff we learn about in Biology class. It is based on the PLANTS unit. Wednesday, January 23, 2008. I am doing a lab on the Spider Plant. This is scientifically known as the Chlorophytum comosum. These plants are known to be easy to grow so i figured it'd be a great plant to work with. Also, it's not easy to kill. This plant can grow up to 2 or 2 1/2 feet wide. They also grow 2 to 3 feet long. They can be grown in a hanging basket or a pot. Too much or too little watering.
