A Month in Mexico City: Arrival in Mexico City

http://www.lanceinmexicocity.blogspot.com/2009/06/arrival-in-mexico-city.html

A Month in Mexico City. Tuesday, June 2, 2009. Arrival in Mexico City. I arrived in Mexico City today without much fanfare. Customs was quick and I made it to the apartment where I'll be spending the month of June rather easily. I set out on a walking tour of the neighborhood (Colonia Alamos) where I'll be living. For such a big city, the neighborhood seems pretty low key. I'll post some pictures of the apartment tomorrow. June 2, 2009 at 7:53 PM. The museo de arqueologia(? June 2, 2009 at 8:31 PM.

A Month in Mexico City. Friday, June 12, 2009. Vida Diaria (Daily Life). The bad news. The dryer made the machine shake violently. So, it was up to the roof for manual drying, clothespins and all. I, too, thought it picture worthy, as you can tell. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Adventures of Wes (my brother) and Laura (his wife). Adventures of Wes and Laura. Adventures of Wes and Laura: August 2006

http://wes-laura.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html

Adventures of Wes and Laura. Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Saw 2 apartments, on the way to the 3rd. The weather is not like Florida - today its raining and in the 50s (12-18 deg C). Not exactly what I expected for the summer in Berlin. By the way, if you notice I make some typing mistakes, the keyboards are arranged differently (for instance the 'y' and 'z' keys are switched). I'm off to pickup Laura, then to the subway to Kurfurstendamm and on foot from there. Posted by Wes and Laura @ 8/29/2006 08:50:00 AM.

Adventures of Wes and Laura: October 2006

http://wes-laura.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html

Adventures of Wes and Laura. Sunday, October 15, 2006. Hanging close to home. Well cooler weather came into northeastern Germany this weekend, and we didn't go on any big adventures out of the city. So we contented ourselves with more domestic activities - Laura backed a delicious nut cake on Saturday and I made some pumpkin ginger cream soup from scratch. We went to our super modern neighborhood pool. Posted by Wes and Laura @ 10/15/2006 10:14:00 AM. Monday, October 09, 2006. Back in Gainesville we are ...

Kwaheri ya kuonana

Friday, April 30, 2010. Well, here it is everyone, my last blog post in Kenya. This is such a bittersweet moment for me, and over the last few days there are many things that happened that reminded me on why I will miss this place. Yesterday, after hanging with some friends at Java, I went back to the school where I worked with the kids from Kibera. They wanted to say thank you, so they sang me a goodbye song in Swahili to send me off. As much as I've wanted to go home over the past couple weeks, there i...

Biblical Principles for Finance

Biblical Principles for Finance. Thursday, September 15, 2011. What Happened to My Fudge? Autumn is one of my favorite seasons of the year! The crisp morning air coupled with the changing colors of the leaves, football, family, and friends spark memories of good times. One specific memory is taking a youth group to Helen, Georgia. This German themed town welcomes you with wonderful food, beautiful scenery, shopping, and the best fudge I’ve ever tasted. I asked, “Ok, who took my fudge? You ate it all.
