Finding the Ding place name was surprising enough, but researching it revealed an exciting new side to Rochdale's exotic(yes exotic! Friday, October 19, 2007. A lot has been discovered, this area has a very high density of medieval charters, nearly 100 for just Whitworth! Viking style sculpture fragment found in Milnrow, east Rochdale!
