Progress on our house - we signed with a great realor (Chris Hiller) yesterday and it'll be up on the market this weekend with a big fat open house. We are right now packing up like crazy and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. The teachers/speakers have really brought home the reality of the Grace of Jesus Christ and our small group discussions have been pretty open and honest. Question: What do you call God? Do you call him anything at all? There are a thousand good answers but do you call him, with your whole heart, Father? Gal 3:1-3 You foolish Galatians!

A couple of weeks ago I picked up a book by Henri Nouwen called Return of the Prodigal Son. It ought to be called "A Trip to the Optometrist" or "40 lashings minus one." The book is based upon Nouwen's encounter with Rembrandt's painting of the Prodigal Son (See the picture (here. Let me share just one thing that forced its way into my soul.
