Monday, May 31, 2010. In four weeks we will leave this place we have called home for the last three years. It really is bittersweet. We have really grown to love the south and made some amazing friends. We are excited to move on to the next phase of life without school and with paychecks! Mark has taken a great job in Salt Lake City. This is the cute house we will be renting for the next year. Markie is excited that it is a "self-home"(one that is not attached to any other)! I shipped in Crawfish from the Louisiana swamps and we had ourselves a proper boil! I also made an amazing King cake, and some beignets. And some spicy gumbo and Jambalaya! I love my mother in laws face in the above photo! Everyone was great sports and tried everything! Links to this post. Links to this post. Never a dull moment.

Monday, January 4, 2010. To shine for him each day. Lyssa was able to go to primary for the first time today! She is so excited to be a Sunbeam. I can't believe I don't have a kid in nursery anymore (for awhile anyway). The boys least favorite thing about primary is singing all the songs, Lyssa loves it and came home singing! Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Throw Me Somethin' Mister! This was our last Mardi Gras! When we first moved here I wondered what the big deal was and now I get it, and we will miss it so much! Mardi Gras is the biggest holiday here, bigger than Christmas by far. Walmart is closed on Fat Tuesday, and if Walmart is closed it must be a huge deal! I can almost here my kids yelling, " Throw me somethin' Mister! Until we meet again. Links to this post. I think they turned out great! Links to this post.

I am sooooooo proud of Mark and all he has accomplished! He has done amazingly well with balancing school, family, and his calling in the bishopric. I am grateful to have such a genius for a husband! They are such a great family! See that face, pure joy! One more degree to hang on the wall! Links to this post. Links to this post.

Wednesday, December 23, 2009. Merry Christmas, I tried. I really tried to get Christmas cards out this year. I had such good intentions, I bought the stuff to put together beautiful cards, we tried. To take family photos on an freakishly cold day, I even scheduled in some time to get them done and send them out! I really wanted to wish all our family and friends and VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS for 2009, but it didn't ever happen. Straight from the south! Phew, I feel so much less guilt. Links to this post.

Tuesday, March 30, 2010. I knew this baby was huge. He is already 8lbs and we have three weeks left to go! Although, because he is also BREECH. We have scheduled a C- section. For April 13th. So, I guess that means in two weeks we will get to meet the chubby little guy! Am I excited for the cesarean? Not really. Do I have a choice? Nope He won't turn because he is so big, so c- section it is. Maybe I can talk my doc into giving me a tummy tuck while they are at it. Links to this post. Links to this post.
