(Paddling) Stories of Shell: April 2011
http://storiesofshell.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Paddling) Stories of Shell. Friday, 29 April 2011. Finally time for a paddle! Charmian and I joined the Hawaiian Paddle Club. For their Open Women’s training session last night (Wednesday). We had heard great things about the club from Lehia’s Mum, Robbie, who mentioned the 50 year old club had won the HCRA State Championships, 8 out of the past 10 seasons. Canoes as far as the eye can see - and a club house too! It definitely lived up to expectations and meeting the club was a truly fantastic experience!

Paddling) Stories of Shell. Tuesday, 20 December 2011. Not a fan of this "Summer" weather! Thursday, 15 December 2011. Coffs Harbour Carnage (OC1 Nationals). Last weekend saw a cluster of PD's travel up to Coffs Harbour for the OC1 Nationals: Annett, Shell, Mandy, Lydia, Gav and Matt. Whilst the wind was (unfortunately) calm, there was quite a swell built up, which made life pretty tough at Woolgoolga for the start of the 25km long course event. Below are a copy of some of the fantastic pics he took.

http://storiesofshell.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Paddling) Stories of Shell. Tuesday, 29 November 2011. It’s been a while since I last posted. I think I wasn’t sure where I wanted to go with this blog – originally I felt like I needed something momentous to talk about (and to try and provide a variety of interesting tales), but now I realise there are little great things that occur each day! So I’m back. In the harbour on the wind chop generated by the blustery 15-20kt SE. It was awesome! Hence, it was with even more determination for a long session th...

(Paddling) Stories of Shell: September 2013

Paddling) Stories of Shell. Friday, 27 September 2013. What I love about changes racing. A changes race is a unique experience, and sometimes difficult to explain to others who don't paddle. It's a true team event, with everyone putting in their max effort, before jumping out of the canoe and resting.then having to get back in again. To explain the phenomena a bit better, here's what I love about changes racing:. Spotting the canoe and lining up. With your team mates as anticipation builds. Your section ...

Paddling) Stories of Shell. Monday, 30 May 2011. Everyone needs some time out from routine. This photo of Mandy on our walk along the rolling green hills from Gerringong to Kiama sums up the elation I felt hanging out with friends this weekend and doing things just for fun. Wednesday, 18 May 2011. Much more than paddling. Is currently providing many a distraction, and the Sydney Writers Festival. Is also proving to be a feast for the mind. I went downstairs this morning and bought the latest Delicious.
