Voice of the Voiceless. Friday, October 14, 2011. We got our LOA! The LOA is a letter of acceptance from China that moves us one step closer to bringing Melia home! On Monday we can now send in a form to the USCIS for another approval from our government to bring Melia home. Our agency estimates travel to China in 3 MONTHS! From what I hear, we will go to Changsha to receive Mia which is where the adoption paperwork for Hunan Province takes place. Because of this we probably will not get to tour the orphanage because it is about 240 miles from Changsha. I have heard lots of good things about Changsha and the experience there.
