Wow no update since Canary Islands. Well the story went on thou. In December 2014 my friend Andreas from Berlin and I set sail across the Atlantic. It was a long and uneventful crossing, 24 days! We crossed path with 4 ships, we had strong wind and no wind. We landed in Martinique and then hopped up along the island to finally reach San Juan, Puerto Rico, this is where La Negra is at the moment. The next trip is in the planing CUBA and JAMAICA! With Dion, Laura and Benny. So excited!

LA NEGRA: Route

Think I am going to be in the Caribbean Sea for a while. Finally in July 2014 I left the Mediterranean, out to the Atlantic and across to the Caribbean. This is the route we have travelled so far. We are taking it a bit slow, I admit, but for us the most interesting is, to stay at places a bit longer to get to know the people, the country and the culture. Become friends, learn the language at bit, find out interesting customs etc. 22 July, 2014 16:42. Finally the Atlantic, take care Axel!

LA NEGRA: S/Y La Negra

She is steady and solid, handles strong weather very well and gives us always a secure and safe feeling. She houses a 72hp Mercedes Sole Diesel engine, which is not the newest but trustworthy. She carries a dingy which we call "Totoro" with an 5ph Mercury outboard engine and a Vespa which we call "The donkey". She comfortably has room for 4 people, 2 sleep in the front cabin and 2 in the aft cabin. Here are some pics of the inside of La Negra. Front cabin, dumpster and guest room. Entrance to aft cabin.
