We’ve just had a couple of days in Nice (France), only about 2.5 hours drive from us. The weather was glorious and I even managed to sit on the beach for a while in between sight seeing and Christmas shopping! It was a nice break although negotiating the road system and traffic in Nice was an experience not to be repeated! Posted by Joanne at 1:49 PM.

After our meal there was a football match which everyone took very seriously, even if we had the ability to play football we wouldn't have been able to after the amount we had just eaten! We then called in to see some other neighbours and had to stay and have some more food and wine with them before being invited to help them eat up the left overs the following day! Andy managed to successfully communicate with our neighbours and borrow their motozappa (rotivator) which has made the world of difference to our new veg patch.
