This is my life! I spent my childhood in the village of Hemnesberget. In the northern part of Norway. As I use to say more specific, in the southern part of the northern part! Just some miles south of the arctic circle. My thirst for exploring and travelling must somehow have been awakened in this town. Doing travels at a very young age in the atlas and on the globe at my grandparents, I got my mind set to explore this world! In 1997 I got my first permanent job at Molab as. My travels in Antarctica. Growing up in Norway, I knew most of the polar explorer by name before I could read. Nansen, Amundsen and Scott, and so on. Tough men doing the almost impossible. Really fascinating stories about life and death in a landscape covered in ice. And suddenly, there I was. Looking at the same landscape as among others Shakelton had done almost a hundread years before me. The Antarctic Peninsula and The Falkland Islands. Drinking Laphroaig at the bar, while cruising through a hurricane.

My travels in Oceania. The Pacific Ocean was to me the big blue area on the backside on the globe belonging my grandfather. I soon discovered that you didn't come to China if you dug deep enough. It was New Zealand. I even argued with the teacher in kindergarten about this. And dug a hole to prove it. I never got as far as either China or New Zealand. But a meter down the teacher idmitted that she was wrong. I couldn't have been the easiest kid to raise. :). Greymouth, New Zealand. Queenstown, New Zealand.

My home country. Haven't seen so much as I would like to. Somehow is it easier to plan a journey to South America than take the car and drive in my own country. It is so close that I can go whenever I like to. And in reality I never do. Have promised myself to be better at this. Hemnesberget - My home town! Leirvika - Spent much time in the forests and mountains here. Tysfjorden - Almost every summer. And hopefully many more. Beiarn - My girlfriend's paradise. Skjerstad and surroundings - My in-laws place.
