The Journal of the 1001 Nights: The Galland Manuscript
http://journalofthenights.blogspot.com/2010/12/galland-manuscript.html
Wednesday, December 29, 2010. This image is allegedly of the Galland manuscript from the wikipedia page for the Nights. There is no attribution though so who knows. It's the most often used image online of the manuscript though. The often-called “Galland manuscript” is an Arabic language manuscript of the Nights. It’s not clear who the author or scribe is (yet! Maybe you can find out) or exactly. There are three volumes. There are 282 “nights” and around 35 stories. 1704-1717). (Thanks to JC for the ...

Barth, John. Chimera. London: Mammoth, 1992.

The Journal of the 1001 Nights: Master Bibliography
http://journalofthenights.blogspot.com/2010/12/master-bibliography.html
Tuesday, December 7, 2010. This page will be the page where all bibliographic lists will be linked. I'm a bit wary of making categories because there is just so much written on the Nights that an article or book would be able to fit in several but I'll try and make the categories as loose as possible, with annotations below. Http:/ journalofthenights.blogspot.com/2009/06/beginners-bibliography.html. Http:/ journalofthenights.blogspot.com/2010/12/aladdin-film-bibliography.html. Books about the nights.

The Journal of the 1001 Nights: Live Action Prequel to Aladdin
http://journalofthenights.blogspot.com/2015/07/live-action-prequel-to-aladdin.html
Thursday, July 23, 2015. Live Action Prequel to Aladdin. Thanks to Paul for passing this along. Our friends at Disney are in the works putting together a live-action prequel to Aladdin (1992) called Genies. It's apparently the back story of the Genie's life. It is being written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (the duo behind Freddy vs. Jason. 2003) and produced by Tripp Vinson. The new project would focus on the realm of the Genies and reveal how Aladdin's Genie ended up enslaved in the lamp. Mentions o...

Monday, May 4, 2009. What is The Arabian Nights? BALLURIAU Paul, 1860-1917 (France). What is The Arabian Nights. It's a question which permeates any conversation, writing, reproduction, production, translation, interpretation, conversation or statement about anything to do with The 1001 Nights. The Arabian Nights Entertainments. Etc etc. etc. The answer is not so clear and can't be, ever, which is either the 1. frustrating or 2. liberating part of the 1001 Nights. Yes more than No, but absolutely No too.
