The life of the Orr Family. Archive for July, 2009. Posted in Family Fun. On July 7, 2009 1 Comment. The golf course Travis played with my dad almost makes me want to start playing. Almost…. Yup, it’s this pretty everywhere you go. The water has such an amazing hue because of the glaciers that fill it. We drove to Canada so we snapped a picture of of the elusive happy Gabe so we might remember the good times on the road. It’s “aboat” time I crossed a local border. Read Full Post ». The Aise's: July 2010
http://theaises.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Day Out with Thomas! May 28th we went to Heber, UT for Day Out With Thomas. For all of you with toddler/preschool age boys, you know how HUGE this is for your little guys. For those who don't, it is HUGE. We took Jack because he loves Thomas the Tank Engine and has some dearly beloved Thomas trains; James, Henry, Toby, Salty, Emily, Percy, etc. Jack was so excited to meet "Sir Topper-Hat." "You have caused confusion and delay.". Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Where my parents at? Sox's S...

Monday, May 24, 2010. We have our ultrasound to discover the sex of our next child on Thurday. I am so nervous/excited/anxious. Seriously, I can't wait. Everyone thinks that we are having a girl because I want a boy so bad,. This pregnancy has been soooooo different than Jack.plus we have, like, no good boy names that we can agree on.sigh. Well, if it is a girl or three, we have plenty o'names. So Jack gets back in bed, thinks about this for a while, then says, "Sorry monsters.". Monster in the Middle.

The Walker Texas Rangers: 100th Day of School 2010
http://brandonandalyssa.blogspot.com/2010/02/100th-day-of-school-2010.html
Wednesday, February 3, 2010. 100th Day of School 2010. Today was the 100th day of school and all of the kids were asked to dress as if they were 100 years old. Jace was sooo excited he was coming up with ideas on how to look really old all week. The best part? The baby powder in his hair. Later on in the school day they had a parade. It was sooo fun watching Jace come out. Kai didn't have a care in the world as he greeted his big brother with a big hug. :-). Posted by The Walker Family.
The Walker Texas Rangers: A small Miracle
http://brandonandalyssa.blogspot.com/2010/03/small-miracle.html
Friday, March 12, 2010. Today Scarlet started walking. I know for most it's a part of life and not considered a big deal when one walks at 14 months but, for us it was. Thankfully the iron supplements have helped with the Anemia and her numbers have improved. In the past month she has started to be awake more, she had her first temper-tantrum, and is becoming quite a bit more active. Though we still don't know what's exactly going on with her it gives us so much hope to see her cross this milestone. ...

Tuesday, June 9, 2009. Yes, we are and have been in Utah for one week now but, things haven't gone exactly as planned. We flew in last Tuesday and early the next morning Scarlet woke up with a terrible cold. We had Beano's. Wedding on Saturday and Scarlet cried pretty much the whole day. Sunday she had a fever of 102.4 and slept all but three hours that day. We also discovered a bulge in her Fontanel. Was bulging but, she that had a rare type of UTI. We are finally back at grandma's and hope to be here f...

Sunday, July 26, 2009. This past week we headed to Destin. Florida with some friends. It was a much needed trip and I must say all nine kids were pretty much in Heaven the entire seven days. We lived on the beach, the dad's went golfing, the girls went shopping, we went bowling, to an amusement park, three movies, ran on the beach, and played cards after the kids went to bed until the wee hours in the morning. The boys slept in these bunks. Playing games back at the house on a rainy day. Niko, and Jace.

Sunday, March 22, 2009. Camping at Wolf Creek Park 2009. I love this little bum. And, this sweet girl. And, these two boys even when they're sad. I also love this sight.it's probably the only time in life that I get a break from cooking. One happy baby, but are we surprised? The boys always made time to stop by and visit Scarlet. Even her love.Jake. Niko and Kai doing the chicken dance. The rest of our days were spent going running, eating, and playing games. My 'lil' snow bunny. She woke up once the...
The Walker Texas Rangers: September 2009
http://brandonandalyssa.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 3, 2009. So, I heard. Some squealing coming from Scarlet's room after her nap and decided to let her stay in there for a little while considering she was completely happy doing whatever she might be doing. After a little while I went in to find her squealing because she had somehow managed to take apart her bumper. Yes, she is in a sleeping bag. She's just like her mama always COLD and BUNDLED even in the dead heat of summer. Posted by The Walker Family. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Thursday, June 13, 2013. Only a Mega Dam…. The two blunders put together have brought the country to a standstill. No electricity to run the fan or light the bulb and no water to drink. The only thing that is more prolonged than the load shedding is the excruciating misery of the men, women and children, forced to come out on the streets, and this is just the beginning with no end in sight. How could one person have done so much harm to so many. Links to this post. Wednesday, June 5, 2013. Afghan kings, ...

The 102 miles were cold, wet, and AMAZING! I felt the presence of my mother throughout the day, and must have had the lyrics “I got soul but I’m not a soldier (see previous emails if you need to reference why that would be)” go through my head at least 102 times. Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Goodbye, Mr. Chips. After calling me in specifically because she liked my curriculum ideas? Of course, this brush-off could have been a ruse, for all I know, but taken at face value, it echoes Crosswhite’s description of the troubled state of writing programs across the country that see critical thinking as too "edgy.". After R of R’s heavy dose of theory, I found these solid tips refreshingly pragmatic. Tuesday, November 18, 2014. I Think I See The Light. While I still hold...
Wafflings of a Lanky Punter
Wafflings of a Lanky Punter. Fat lanky punter tries and fails to climb stuff. Saturday, 9 September 2017. Been a while. Not a lot to report other than the attempt on the Lakeland 100, which didn't quite go to plan. It was wet, very wet. The plan was the same as last time, since the feet were the issue last time. The family had a cottage in Coniston and were on hand for support; it's just great to have them with me, and this year we had the addition of our little pup. Leg 1 - Coniston to Seathwaite. This ...
