Families enjoy early Christmas in Lansford. Published on Times News Online ( http:/ www.tnonline.com. By Mirna P. Gledhill Tn Correspondenttneditor@tnonline.com. On Saturday, dozens of locals gathered around the gazebo at Kennedy Park to enjoy Christmas music, hot chocolate, treats, photos with Santa and a horse-drawn carriage ride. Lansford Alive Events Committee organized the evening with the help of community volunteers, and fundraiser groups such as the Landsford Fire Department.

Historic District

Recently, Lansford was designated an official Historic District in the state of Pennsylvania. It is scheduled to be designated a National Historic District by the end of 2011. This is a great thing! It allows property owners to take advantage of some really great tax incentives (how does a 20% tax rebate sound? And allows for future grant opportunities.
