I'm With The (Lap) Band: August 2004
http://lap-band.blogspot.com/2004_08_01_archive.html
I'm With The (Lap) Band. Friday, August 27, 2004. My little ol' heart. Got GREAT news from Dr. Bavikati regarding all of those heart tests. She called while I was out this evening to let me know that my tests revealed no threat of cardiac disease at all. She said that the tests show that I have less than 1% chance of having a heart attack at this point in life and that I should have no cardiac problems during surgery. Makes me feel so good! Posted by Liz G. at 11:58 PM. Matters of the Heart. But I made it.

I'm With The (Lap) Band. Wednesday, October 20, 2004. We have closed on our first home! Alek and I are SO excited and can't wait to get in there and get painting and setting it up to be our very own. It's a great little 3 bedroom home with 2 baths, 2 car garage and a lovely backyard for Sabine to play in. Yay! We've made our downpayments, given notice at our Apartment complex and are pricing flooring companies to come in and put down the laminate flooring we want. Whewthe next month is going to be CRAZY!

http://lap-band.blogspot.com/2005_03_01_archive.html
I'm With The (Lap) Band. Wednesday, March 16, 2005. I had my second fill today - no big deal. Dr M took out the first fill - to make sure it was all still in there - and it was. Yay - no leaks! Then, he added another 1.6 cc's into the band to come to a total of 4.9 cc's - in a band that holds 10. Ohand this month was 3 lbs down. Total of 43. It was a slow month - but it was DOWN. Posted by Liz G. at 12:05 PM. Friday, March 04, 2005. I've been thinking about what my box is like - so here goes. The inside ...

I'm With The (Lap) Band: December 2004
http://lap-band.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html
I'm With The (Lap) Band. Wednesday, December 29, 2004. OkI think about this all of the time My list of "NSVs" - Non scale victories. Things I want to be able to do but feel hindered from doing because of the weight. Now is time to write them down - so we can revisit them from time to time so we can "tick" them off. So here they are.in no particular order. Some are serious - others quite silly - but they are what I think about. To ride roller coasters again. (Always has been my #1 reason. ha! To be able t...

I'm With The (Lap) Band: February 2005
http://lap-band.blogspot.com/2005_02_01_archive.html
I'm With The (Lap) Band. Wednesday, February 16, 2005. Had my first fill today at Dr. Maese's office. Wow - didn't know what to expect - had been kind of worried about it. What a waste of energy it was to worry about it - it was NOTHING! I laid down on a table and Dr. M used a sonogram machine to find the port - then said, "That's it." I said, "That's WHAT? And he had already stuck the needle in and put 3.2 cc's of saline in the band and I was done! Ohand down an official 40 lbs. View my complete profile.

I'm With The (Lap) Band: November 2004
http://lap-band.blogspot.com/2004_11_01_archive.html
I'm With The (Lap) Band. Tuesday, November 30, 2004. In the past week or so, I have discovered:. 1 That I can survive Thanksgiving without eating mashed potatoes, yams and corn. I can also survive the day without eating that late night left-over turkey sandwich. 2 That I can make all sorts of things with the Vanilla Myocel and not hate it! I love it with frozen blueberries, frozen peaches, frozen cherries, low carb grape juice, generally, any frozen fruits. How big my bites are just scare me! For dessert...

I'm With The (Lap) Band. Thursday, September 16, 2004. Ramblings for a Thursday. Well, Cynthia at Bandlandia. Sent my info to Dr. Maese's office to get set up with him last week and I had my first appointment with him yesterday. Anyways.I met with Dr. Maese yesterday and am completely confident that he and I will get along after surgery by Dr. Benavides. He was going to dictate my letter within 24 hours of my visit and have it transcribed and out to the insurance company soon. I can follow that. SOI won'...

I'm With The (Lap) Band: January 2005
http://lap-band.blogspot.com/2005_01_01_archive.html
I'm With The (Lap) Band. Wednesday, January 05, 2005. A smack in the head. Two nights ago at 1:30 in the morning I fell. Amazingly, I got up just fine and even more amazingly, my hip didn’t hurt at all for the first time in months. (I have what I can only describe as human hip dysplasia. ). I’ve realized that as much as I thought I was ready for this band, I don’t think I was. I’m getting there but desperately wanting a change and being READY for a change are two different things. I’ve realized that I’ve...
