Documenting the creation of a suburban farm. Sunday, January 30, 2011. Sunday Edition: Mary Had a Little Lamb, but Lola Didn't. Another week gone by and still no lamb. It's been 4 weeks since I've been declared "she's due any minute." I'm feeling like the little sister of the boy who cried "wolf" – aka, the girl who cried "lamb! Alas, we've not been twiddling our thumbs waiting for her to deliver. Friday night, I took Tate to Boston for a Kingsley Pines Camp. Chickens Barely Escape Barnyard Avalanche.

While Tate was away at camp in Maine for 5 weeks, Gary and I managed to sneak away a couple of weekends. Our first trip was to see our adorable 1-year old grandsons in Atlanta. Somehow, being a nurse practitioner also makes me an expert at lamb delivery. Luckily, my ewes have been the real experts, though I was reading up on various breech positions Sunday morning when Maddie Belle was in labor.
