Monday, May 28, 2007. Ironically, and quite strangely, my mother is currently touring around japan.originally she was going to come and see me in niigata but she was in tokyo yesterday and travels to kyoto soon.incredibly strange to think that she'll be visiting places i did just a few weeks ago. I leave the UK for oslo on saturday, with the usual nerves, excitement, trepidation and unknowing optimism. Posted by Glen-san @ 2:54 AM. Sunday, May 20, 2007. Posted by Glen-san @ 11:42 PM. Weekend was a good one. went to a house party with my 'new' friends. a mixture of aussies, british, french and norwegian. was really good fun. headed into oslo later on and partied on. norway seems to only have one brand of beer, Rignes.and its not good for your head believe me. Sat night went to cinema on my own. saw tarantinos new film 'death proof'. disliked it lots. overstylised, over 'cool' same old same old tarantino. The first picture, is the...

Tuesday, February 27, 2007. So im sat in a pub (a real pub, not a fancy schmancy bar) with a pint of real beer, sat next to Tami, watching sheffield united on a wide screen tv, and it hits me.hang on.how the hell did i get here? Queue wobbly screen and flashback mode. Saturday morning i go to the airport to pick up tami, who needs a weekend away from london and who thankfully for me volunteered to keep my company for the weekend, as its only 2 hours flight from heathrow. I must find him if i move there!

Monday, July 30, 2007. In our new found sense of tourism, myself, emma, neil and morten decided to take the 4 hour train ride to Gothenburg in Sweden. Gothenburg is the second largest city in sweden with half a million people, behind the capital Stockholm. It is a beautiful place, but i think i prefer oslo more. Oslo is more compact, less spread out, but quite similar i guess as both are coastal cities. Was nice to be back in oslo. Posted by Glen-san @ 10:47 PM. Posted by Glen-san @ 10:43 PM. 6 swedish m...

Thursday, March 29, 2007. I guess the other major difference here is learning how to talk and have meetings/presentations through an interpreter. again, in the western world, meetings turn into open discussions, and presentations simply flow, working with a translator however, you have to speak, stop, wait, listen, reply.again, this makes some meetings take forever! Never underestimate the job of a translator. Posted by Glen-san @ 11:32 AM. Posted by Glen-san @ 11:30 AM. Posted by Glen-san @ 11:28 AM.
