smazoochie: December 2014
http://smazoochie.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. So looking back, I guess I had kind of a good year. 16 finished quilts - there were even a few small ones that I didn't share. Looking at the mosaic, first thing I notice is - What a lot of SQUARES! I don't know how that happened, normally, my go-to shape is triangles, but apparently 2014 was smazoochie's year for squares! I looked up the goals. I made for the year back in January - how did I do? Not so much. That is the top of my list again this year. See you next year!

smazoochie: November 2014
http://smazoochie.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. When our friends had their first child, a daughter, I thought about making her a quilt, but Life intruded and it didn't happen. Six (! Years later, they have had their second child, a son. Since this seems to be my Year to Make Quilts, I thought I would make the boy a quilt. And, well, I can't give the baby a quilt and not give big sister one, also. Right? So, two quick, cute quilts! Add lots of white! Sunday, November 23, 2014. Dorothy is a simple 16-patch - half Kaffe Fassett.

smazoochie: March 2015
http://smazoochie.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 29, 2015. I found this little lap-sized quilt on Etsy and quickly snapped it up. It's from the 1960s, one of the decades in which not many quilts were made. The pattern is a simple rail fence. But the fabrics! Besides being bright, most of the prints have a woven texture. I think it is lots of fun and very groovy! Monday, March 23, 2015. Spring on the Gulf Coast. Fabric ones, of course, gifts for 2 friends. Made from this pattern. You are always *my* Best of Show. xxx. Monday, March 09, 2015.

smazoochie: May 2015
http://smazoochie.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 11, 2015. They are so satisfying! Easy, quick, pretty - and they are great stash busters! Even though the calendar says Summer is still a few weeks away, it is SUMMER! Here already. The AC has been running for some time now. We've gotten quite a bit of rain - good, we needed it - but it also bumps up the humidity and the mosquito population. The good news is: the magnolia are in bloom! Saturday, May 02, 2015. I'm in with the In Crowd,. I know what the In Crowd knows. I'm in with the In Crowd,.

smazoochie: October 2014
http://smazoochie.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 13, 2014. The lies that lying liars tell. Do you recall me saying that I was not going quilt with my wiggle-y walking-foot zigzag. Well, I lied. Never say never, right? Friday, October 10, 2014. I recently made a quilt for a friend who quilts. It was a milestone birthday for her. She is so adorable, she deserves a quilt every day of the year, but I just made her the one. Cool colors or warm? Blocky or overall pattern? And she loved it! Monday, October 06, 2014. Now that the quilts are fin...

smazoochie: My fabric diet
http://smazoochie.blogspot.com/2015/07/my-fabric-diet.html
Saturday, July 25, 2015. As with my physical health and eating habits, I want modest fabric acquisition to become a way of life, not a strict, short-term program - no fabric fasting, just manageable buying that I can comfortably live with. But, like my wise friend, RachaelDaisy. Says, "Moderation in all things, including moderation.". I've been to 2 quilts shows already this year: QuiltCon. The Kansas City Regional Quilt Festival. Well, it's just too hard to pass up! I wonder what I will do with them?

smazoochie: January 2015
http://smazoochie.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 18, 2015. The first line-jumper of the year. During Shug's and my busy holiday visit to the midlands, there was one day that my Mother-in-law and I took a little time and had an outing - we had lunch, finished up some grocery shopping and she offered to take me to Fabric Recycles. I NEVER turn down an opportunity to visit this store! As I was working away at a couple of scrappy projects, the blue-lavender-olive fabric began speaking to me. Excuse me. Excuse me. Get them out now! Hmmm, bos...

smazoochie: Topping the top chart
http://smazoochie.blogspot.com/2015/06/topping-top-chart.html
Tuesday, June 16, 2015. Topping the top chart. When I was a pre-teen and young teenager, the local AM station (WHB, the World's Happiest Broadcasters, dial Seventy One-derful on the dial) put out a weekly list of the top 40 singles. 45 rpm singles, do you remember them? Anyway, what was my point? The tops I've been sewing up made me think of WHB's Top 40. (My mind works in mysterious ways.) Not quite 40, but my stack is growing. And not just tops, backs too! I like what Im seeing here! Smazoochie" is a n...
