Celibate and Sane: Re-hearse
http://vicki-s.blogspot.com/2010/10/re-hearse.html
October 29, 2010. Yesterday Ana and I drove into the petrol station, and I was taken aback by the vehicle in front of us. Focussing on getting fuel into her vehicle, Ana hadn't really noticed it. I watched intrigued as the owner finished fuelling the car and I realised it was a pre 1985 hearse. Well, I guess there's not much need to replace a hearse in a small town like ours and one would probably last for years," I thought. Where does one buy a hearse from? Would it be difficult to find parts? In a hear...

Celibate and Sane: Blah! I Generally HATE New Year's Resolutions but ...
http://vicki-s.blogspot.com/2014/01/blah-i-generally-hate-new-years.html
January 1, 2014. I Generally HATE New Year's Resolutions but . I generally HATE New Year's Resolutions but .this year's resolution is to reduce my size by dieting and exercise. I've never been a small girl, and I acknowledge that I'm simply not built to be a size 6, but this year I'm aiming to be an 8, or at least an 8½. There are a lot of dieting plans that focus on reducing weight for particular parts of the body, though I'm having difficulty finding one that suits. I usually feel so embarrassed about ...

Celibate and Sane: Lucky I Love My Work
http://vicki-s.blogspot.com/2013/06/lucky-i-love-my-work.html
June 4, 2013. Lucky I Love My Work. It's lucky that I love my work, because I have been crazy busy setting up my old and new designs in various online stores in Australia and the USA. And just in the last few hours, I've set up a European store and have been laboriously adding one item at a time. Each country's product manufacturer/supplier has their online businesses set up very differently - some are much easier to use than others, and some are very time consuming and sleep-inducing procedures, lol.

Celibate and Sane: And May I Say "Ugghh!"
http://vicki-s.blogspot.com/2013/06/and-may-i-say-ugghh.html
June 12, 2013. And May I Say "Ugghh! If you can hear me snoring from where you are, then you probably won't be surprised to hear that I have worn myself out, setting up the new European/UK store. In just one week, I uploaded/created almost 2,300 items in the store, and it was one of the laborious, most uninteresting and frustrating process I've had so far in any of the shops I've set up. BUT, my best images are now available to anyone in Europe and the UK. Yay! Galaxy Voyage by Miss Terry Woman. Cats are...

Celibate and Sane: Short Story: Food Nazis
http://vicki-s.blogspot.com/2014/04/short-story-food-nazis.html
April 12, 2014. Short Story: Food Nazis. I could tell that the Food Nazis had been in my apartment again, although this time they'd tried to hide it. Usually when they'd been, I came home to a shambles with everything I owned strewn about the place. This time, I noticed that several items in my fridge had been moved out of position and a small packet of salt was missing from my pantry cupboard. I can't eat any more. I'm so sick to death of being force-fed," she groaned. Her plate had included a p...I cou...

Celibate and Sane: Hitler's Impact on Men's Fashion
http://vicki-s.blogspot.com/2011/02/hitlers-impact-on-mens-fashion.html
February 5, 2011. Hitler's Impact on Men's Fashion. Everyone knows Hitler by his dorky greasy hair, parted on the side, but mostly by the little moustache we've all come to think of as denoting someone of an evil nature. Hitler's father Alois Hitler was an example of men's fashions prior to World War I when he sported a typical full moustache (pictured on the right). Adolf Hitler with his. Hitler in the early 1920s. In a way we can be thankful that Hitler didn't continue wearing the more full moustache a...

Celibate and Sane: Collecting ... Genie Lamps
http://vicki-s.blogspot.com/2010/11/collecting-genie-lamps_14.html
November 14, 2010. Collecting . Genie Lamps. Just before Christmas one year my mother began to complain that I was too difficult to buy for. I wasn't too worried about it and said not to buy me anything. Oh I can't do that? She replied. "What would people say? Honestly Mum, you don't need to get me anything," I tried to reassure her. Why don't you start collecting something? I became rather alarmed at the thought, because mum has a collection of more than 800 dolls, bears and figurines. It is getting rat...

July 24, 2010. The Way of Hozho's (Longer Story I've written) ©. The Way of Hozho's. Mati Dyari was what they called their home, otherwise known as the Garden of Friends. For countless seasons the inhabitants shared their home with each other and lived in the Way of Hozho's – maintaining the balance and harmony. Possessing feathered wings and two long legs, Yepi and Ahehee and their offspring loved to fly. They enjoyed flitting between the branches, and the myriad forest flowers provided nourishing n...

Celibate and Sane: Boy Fountains & Machine Guns
http://vicki-s.blogspot.com/2010/12/boy-fountains-machine-guns.html
December 20, 2010. Boy Fountains and Machine Guns. JD and two friends, along with a seven year old girl and myself, headed off to the local pool recently. We lathered on about half a litre of sunscreen lotion between the five of us and jumped into the very warm pool. Actually it was more like a sauna that a swimming pool as the weather had been exceedingly hot. The boys at one point began to spit water at one another, and. No," I replied, not even bothering to look. Oh well," I replied with a shrug.
