Mazda MX5 MK3 / NC – Jinba Ittai (Horse and Rider as One) – Exhaust Resource Site. Jinba ittai (人馬一体, rider (jin) and horse (ba) as one (ittai) ……………… And suddenly I realised that I was no longer driving the car consciously. I was driving it by a kind of instinct, only I was in a different dimension…. Ayrton Senna. Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo: May 2008
http://vx220turbo.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo. Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the badge. Monday, 19 May 2008. Latest addition to the camp is a set of Mintex 1144 pads from Camskill. I was getting a bit concerned about the standard of the OEM pads and their performance under heavy braking, so I decided to go for a set of M1144s to tighten things up a little. Improved. Bit more dust than OEM, but I can live with the trade-off for the increased performance. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo: November 2007

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo. Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the badge. Saturday, 17 November 2007. Today was one of those crisp days when the skies were perfectly blue; the temperature was moderately warm and it really did feel like the last sunshine we might get before the long, dark descent into winter. I thought it would be an appropriate time to pop the top off the car and go for a long drive. Thursday, 8 November 2007. This little blighter should sort the problem out.

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo: October 2008

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo. Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the badge. Friday, 3 October 2008. Attitude change - life's too short, mum. Ok, so you may remember me saying I had the use of a 306DT to use, and I had planned to garage the VX for the winter months. This was all well and good for the first four weeks, until I got bored of looking at the VX sat in the garage. It was calling to me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo: Lubricant....ooh, matron
http://vx220turbo.blogspot.com/2009/01/lubricantooh-matron.html
Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo. Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the badge. Saturday, 10 January 2009. Lubricant.ooh, matron. It was time for an oil and filters change today. Not having done it before, I was a little apprehensive because although the Z20LET is used in many Vauxhall vehicles, access is considerably easier when the engine is front-mounted! I would highly recommend this as it's £15 to join and I've made the money back already through the card).

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo. Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the badge. Monday, 22 October 2007. Slight couple of snags. Slightly more serious are the fact that the front tensioner cable on the soft top has snapped. I didn't thoroughly inspect the soft top before purchasing which I should have done, but it's gone and needs fixing. My other half was not amused when we started to get wet in the cabin on the way over to her parents! Wednesday, 10 October 2007. And read around a l...

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo: January 2008

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo. Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the badge. Wednesday, 30 January 2008. Holey airbox, Batman. Things have been slow in 220 world as of late. The atrocious weather means I haven't been able to get the car out at all, which is where 'Old Faithful', or the Peugeot 306DT that my other half kindly donated to me, comes in. My garage has also been leaking, so I had to get the roof repaired before I could even think of working on the car.

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo: Not the brightest spark
http://vx220turbo.blogspot.com/2008/02/not-brightest-spark.html
Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo. Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the badge. Friday, 1 February 2008. Not the brightest spark. Which arrived the next day. That obstacle out of the way, I removed the plugs (which, as guessed, were rusty and sopping wet), dried the wells off with a hairdryer and fitted the new ones. Car started sweet as a nut, and the misfiring was eradicated. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Blistering barnacles, Ive got a grandad-mobile.

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo: July 2008

Notes from behind the wheel of a VX220 Turbo. Or how I learned to stop worrying and love the badge. Monday, 21 July 2008. Blowing hot and cold. Ok, so things have been relatively quiet on the VX front in the last few months. This has generally been because:. I've been busy with work. I got engaged (at long last! My bank balance has dictated that I rein in my spending for a while! The chaps at 220.org pointed me in the direction of the VenAir kit on eBay. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Blowing hot and cold.
