Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Thoughts of an expectant father. Last night while getting ready to brush my teeth, Dave was watching me and here is how the conversation went. Your belly is getting BIG! Stacie - Yeah, I know, plus I gained 3 pounds in the last two weeks. Dave - Well, isn't it normal to gain, like, 10 pounds a week. Stacie - DAVE.that would be 400 pounds! Dave - (laughing) I meant during the last few weeks. Gee thanks Stacie, i have totally gained 10 lbs in one week!

Friday, July 31, 2009. Actual Conversation.days ago. I was working in the BIG garden at the Jensens' house the day after announcing to my children that they were going to have a new sibling. Arami was standing at the end of the row talking to Katie, a relative of the Jensens who is barely 5. Arami - My mom is gonna get pregnant soon. Me - Actually Ara, I am pregnant now. Arami - No.I mean that you are going to have a baby in your tummy. Me - I know baby, There is a baby in there now. Me - I don't think so.

Monday, January 11, 2010. This evening as part of our family night, we discussed words that should not be used in our home. Among the words in this list are things like "shut up" "stupid" "quit it! And other not so kind things you don't want to hear your kids say. David asked the kids to participate in coming up with this list.they were quite helpful, and it was a nice productive evening.then Arami says (thanks to Grandpa Dick I'm sure) "How about if we don't say 'Oh SH*T'". Ummmm, yeah, you think!

Friday, February 20, 2009. My father's wife, my bonus mom (I hate "step" mom). She passed away on Sunday, 2 minutes after I walked into the room to say goodbye to her. Thanks for waiting for me Phyllis. She was a very kind, giving big hearted woman, who loved her grandchildren to death. Her death came as a surprise, definately unexpected. She would have been 59 on the 18th had she made it three more days. She had pneumonia (sp? We will all miss you! Tuesday, February 10, 2009. We haven't ever used it).
