View of ice behind the islands across from Town of La Ronge. The ice has melted between the small islands just off shore but the lake is still ice bound. Pilots report there are a few broken spots in the lake but there is no access to Hunter Bay by boat. If you plan on fishing at Hunter Bay or Pickerel Bay - both are open but you will have to fly. Gary is the goose that lives at Riverside Motel in Air Ronge, owner Cosette took in Gary when he was a gosling back in May 2007. He has been staying with Cosette all that time and she does not think he will be flying south. Cosette still has Gary and plans on letting him out this spring. Have a great year Gary!
