Larry Dawson was born and raised in Scott Depot, West Virginia. He is the son of Pat and Madge Dawson, who were self-employed owning a small appliance store. He remains a resident of Putnam County, West Virginia. He graduated from Winfield High School in 1976 and then attended Marshall University. Today, Larry Dawson's Auto Sales is not only selling automobiles locally, but also nationally through EBay and the Internet. His hobbies are boating, racquetball and golf.
