The project started out with a 1975 Morris Mini in pretty good condition. The engine is a 1275cc, it has a big valve head (35 x 29 Valves), and a Kent 266 cam. It has twin HS2 1 carburetors and a standard transmission. The all metal body was sectioned 2.5 and chopped another 2.5 for a total height reduction of 5 . Larry painted the car Chili Red with a Black top. An MK1 Grille and tail lights were used and all of the glass was cut to size. They came from the logo of BMC.

Britain on the Green - 2014. The 2014 Britain on the Green at Gunston Hall. In Fairfax County Virginia was a splended affair sponsored by Capital Triumph Register. The weather was great and lots of vehicles came out. The setting of the show is impressive, the 550 acre estate of George Mason built in 1755. They came from the logo of BMC.

January 13, 2008. MY 1958 MGA RESTORATION. I tried to do as much of the work as I could myself. I learned the basics of welding by taking Carl Heideman's MGA Restoration course at Eclectic Motorworks. However, I learned that my welds were not going to be pretty enough to be on the outside of the finished car. So I did end up farming out the exterior body work and the painting to someone I found locally. I've been very happy with the results. HDA43 36795 Body Number:. Red (which I also retained).
