More Than Inspiration | Katharine Marie
https://kmariecreativity.wordpress.com/2014/08/21/more-than-inspiration
On Tuesday, I posted a song. That seems to always give me inspiration. Today, I pulled out one of my old short stories (some might call it flash fiction since it is only 354 words long). This piece was inspired by a combination of. And another of Loreena McKennitt’s songs called. With a desperate sigh Illyanna released her hold on the cold iron bars, stepping back. More than anything she hated to watch the ocean, the endless rolling of the waves, but what else had she to do? For a moment, she wanted to b...

Rebellion: Meet Jonathon | Katharine Marie
https://kmariecreativity.wordpress.com/2015/02/06/rebellion-meet-jonathon
Hopefully you’ve already bought and read my debut novel entitled Rebellion Under the Stars, so you already know who Jonathon is. However, whether or not you have is beside the point… I’m here to give you an author’s inside view on his character. He is a tall young man – 20 years old, with thick and curly brown hair and pleasant gray eyes. In fact, he’s just pleasant all around! Probably because certain friends of mine would have been super upset with me if I had cut him out of the story. Why? My go-to re...

https://kmariecreativity.wordpress.com/2014/09/30/september-reading-list-review
September Reading List – Review. If you read my goals post. The House of the Seven Gables. By Julie Garwood. This book was everything I wanted it to be: a (mostly) light romance that had a tendril of seriousness and reality, but overall was just fun and made me smile. Oh, and there were Scottish guys. A relaxing and enjoyable read! Is the second book and will be on my October reading list! What did you read in September? Have you read any of the books I did and what did you think of them? Also I read the...

NanoWrimo – Roundup of Thoughts | Katharine Marie
https://kmariecreativity.wordpress.com/2014/10/16/nanowrimo-roundup-of-thoughts
NanoWrimo – Roundup of Thoughts. Who’s preparing for November? More specifically, who is getting ready for NanoWrimo? Love this calender… if I end up doing Nano, this will be my motivation! Speaking of which, I haven’t decided whether or not I will be doing Nano this year. So far, I’ve won both editions of Camp in 2014, but never participated in November. *gasp*. 50,000 words is a lot of words. A Lot Of Words. Did I mention how many words is in 50,000 words? Anyways, between work, school (final semester!

December’s Reading List. I’m putting this one up a little late, but late is better than never right? I’ve started this one already and while its a tad slow to begin, it looks to be pretty good! This is my first Stephen King novel and I’m interested to see how it plays out! Anyone reading this who likes Stephen King? December 11, 2014. You are c...

Poetry Round Up | Katharine Marie
https://kmariecreativity.wordpress.com/2014/08/25/poetry-round-up
I don’t write poetry, and yet I love it so very very much. I have tried to write poetry in the past, but it is wretched and I would never show it to the world. Therefore, I found four different blogs that posted a piece of poetry today. I really enjoyed these pieces and I hope you will too. Writing into the Light is a fascinating blog that regularly posts short poems. I believe they are called haikus? One of her posts today caught my eye – lost. It is a recent find of mine and I will now be following!
