Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Once we thought things were better, it always went back downhill. After the first school year of Anna having cancer, the doctors thought it was gone! This was a major relief, although cancer can come back. Most of the time they said they couldnt see the cancer growing yet, but there were little cancers growing all over. they just hadn't shown up yet. Thursday, April 22, 2010. I knew months before this that they had stopped treatments, but for some reason it never occured to me that that meant Anna would pass away. We walked into the room where Anna was laying in bed. Aunt Liz was sitting at the top of the bed brushing Anna's hair from her face while looking at her. Every day after Anna passed away I was at their house helping my Aunt and Uncle take care of the kids, and helping them get ready for the funeral and viewings and the video of pictures that was to be shown at the viewing. Our family is very close friends with a guy that paints cars. He agreed to take the casket they got and paint it hot pink for Anna. The casket was exactly what she wanted. Hot pink and all. Thursday, April 22, 2010. Anna was at my grandmothers house and I was sitting in there with her. She was hooked up to an oxygen machine.
