Making a library electric without electrocuting anyone. Navigating the Library, Without Help from the 1990s. March 23, 2014. In Ease of Use. Have you ever looked at something you look at every single day and seen it for the very first time? The same thing happened to me in the library where I work last summer. Even though I had been looking at the walls every weekday for about four years, I had never really seen them. So one summer day, my eyeballs saw the walls. Can something be slightly horrifying?

Making a library electric without electrocuting anyone. August 27, 2013. Teens love nothing more than a good dystopian novel (I may be wrong about that). You really don’t have to work too hard to sell them. But I still enjoyed creating this dystopic literary display. Piece of blue butcher paper and put it all together under an ominous moon. Guilty of loving a good mystery? Navigating the Library, Without Help from the 1990s. →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. What I'm reading.

Making a library electric without electrocuting anyone. March 9, 2015. I have a weird relationship with fill-in-the-blank history months. I wouldn’t go so far as to say the relationship is love/hate. It’s more like somewhat appreciate/marginally dissatisfied by. Doesn’t quite have the same ring). I know it’s not that simple, but it still gets under my skin. I haven’t figured out a way to deal with this uneasiness, so in the meantime, I put up this display in honor of Black History Month. A Librarian'...

It’s Always Time to Read. Book Graveyard – Books That Have Had Their Final Checkout →. After learning that many elementary students had their own Instagram account (yes, I know the minimum age is 13), I made a school library account, and I have a small following of students and parents. I post one or two pictures a week at most, I don’t post students’ faces, I don’t follow any students or parents back, and it takes almost no time at all. What do I post? Here are a few examples from my library:. Fill in y...

It’s Always Time to Read. I’m getting bulletin boards ready for the start of the new school year. Here’s one I finished today. Each book title has a number between 1 and 12 in it. Books That Give You the Feels. This bulletin board display was inspired by one of my favorite young patrons, who loves to read realistic fiction that tugs at her heart. With suggestions from one of the online librarian groups I am a member of, I printed and laminated small covers of the books in the school library that make eyes water and hearts ache. I placed a book rack under the bulletin board with all the available books, to make picking one up to read just-that-much easier. Are there any popular boo...

A common 8-character password with an uppercase, a lower case, a number and a symbol character would take a computer only a few minutes to hack. Bad passwords: password, passwerd, 1234, onetwothreefour. A good password is: easy to remember, hard to guess, unlikely to be in the dictionary. 8211; Passwords and toothbrushes are similar in that you NEVER want to share them (Exception: I recommended sharing passwords with parents).

At the beginning of each school year, I give a book care talk, and usually hand out damaged books to random students, and let them guess what happened to them–spilled on, chewed by a dog, little sister colored in it. They enjoy guessing what befell the unfortunate books. Thank you for sharing your ideas. By Suebrarian . Posted in Book Display.

Just another WordPress.com weblog. 8216;Good to Go’, by Ray Cates. January 21, 2010 by fotpress1. I sat among beautiful green leafy plants in the doctor’s office with people who had canes and walkers, and no smiles. Health was just in the plants. Floating in the air were whispered words about prostate operations and how much long procedures hurt. Pain rested in face wrinkles, and twitching fingers that looked like rotten twigs. Me, well I was the only kid there, sitting with grandma. It was my turn t...

Sólo otro Blog de videojuegos…. Probando Kinect en nuestras propias carnes…. On 12 octubre, 2010 by riddick.
