bring yourself: September

Thursday, 9 September 2010. September is my favourite month. Autumn is on its way and soon I will be able to play in the falling leaves. I feel justified in buying new pens as I get into the back-to-school spirit. Oh, and it's my birthday too. That might be one of my favourite parts of the month. Last weekend, I had a lovely birthday trip to Wales to stay in the most wonderful house. Now, it's back to work, back to school, back home. Thursday, 1 July 2010. The Trouble With Feedback. I had some good feedback on my own writing a couple of weeks ago. I learned how hard it is to hear positive comments about your work. My brain somehow turned every positive into a negative and assumed the worst. I was waiting for the 'but .' to follow every positive comments. I had to consciously shake myself out of it because it wasn't getting me anywhere. Am I the only one who finds good feedback harder to hear? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
