I'm married to a wonderful man named Brian and we have two amazing boys Logan, 5, and Luke, 2. Logan just started Kindergarten and is loving it! Mrs Hairston's FACS Class. Family and Consumer Sciences at Monticello High School. Saturday, November 13, 2010. My Orientation to Teaching class has a unit on diversity. During that unit I read aloud to the class. I love the book Acorn People. By Ron Jones is a wonderful story about a boy that works at a summer camp. Mrs Hairston's FACS Class. Family and Consumer Sciences at Monticello High School. Sunday, October 17, 2010. End of the first 9 weeks. I've survived the first nine weeks! And since we are on block and I teach two "semester" classes, I have finished up two classes! I am finished with Food and Nutrition and Child Development. My students did well on the End of Course test. Arkansas CTE has set a goal of 70% of our classes scoring 70% or better on the test. 70% is considered proficient. I’m so excited!
