LATITUDES' JOURNEY: Rumbling across the States
http://latitudesjourney.blogspot.com/2015/07/rumbling-across-states.html
A log of our journey on s/v Latitudes. Sunday, July 5, 2015. Rumbling across the States. Thank goodness we have finally made it to the flat states! Bouncing along in the RV is infinitely better than bouncing around as you struggle up and down steep mountain roads. And it is flat here in. We were in Ogallala, NE, last night, our 4. Wal-Mart in 4 days. I’m ready for a park. But you are also sharing them with the big rig trucks. They run their engines for hours and often park closer than we would like.
LATITUDES' JOURNEY: Other stuff in KY - and West Virginia
http://latitudesjourney.blogspot.com/2015/07/other-stuff-in-ky-and-west-virginia.html
A log of our journey on s/v Latitudes. Tuesday, July 21, 2015. Other stuff in KY - and West Virginia. A bit of catching up from the trip, other than the zoo. Remember Stephen King's "Children of the Corn"? I have "Old Man of the Corn".Luke couldn't believe how high it was, planted in a field along the street at the Wal-Mart in Peoria. In Frankfurt, KY, we visited two distilleries, Jim Beam and Bulleit. EVERYBODY, world-round, knows Jim Beam. Little tasting glasses to take home! Bulleit used to do their o...
LATITUDES' JOURNEY: February 2015
http://latitudesjourney.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
A log of our journey on s/v Latitudes. Saturday, February 28, 2015. Another day in Paradise. Off from Hawksbill to our favorite Exumas National Land and Sea Park, Warderick Wells. But first, a good mopping of the decks to wash away the previous day’s salt. It is humid here – I mean humid. Between my clammy hands and the moisture in my bamboo knitting needles, knitting is almost impossible. The boat has such a layer of dew in the early morning that it’s easy to wash her down. Hotter than I remembered.
LATITUDES' JOURNEY: Go take a hike!
http://latitudesjourney.blogspot.com/2015/07/go-take-hike.html
A log of our journey on s/v Latitudes. Tuesday, July 7, 2015. Go take a hike! In the Heil Valley Ranch recreation area, that is! We met up with Erin and her two, along with Lisa's son Simon, and headed out on yet another dreary, gray day. But it is 70 instead of 100, so that is ok with us. Heil Valley is a beautiful recreation area, formerly ranch land, in the foothills of the Rockies. What a setting! Off for a walk, first crossing the rocky creek. Fortunately, there is the usual trusty guide info.
LATITUDES' JOURNEY: Bompa, Ears, and NCAR
http://latitudesjourney.blogspot.com/2015/07/bompa-ears-and-ncar.html
A log of our journey on s/v Latitudes. Thursday, July 9, 2015. Bompa, Ears, and NCAR. Fun in Lisa's yard.Bompa - yes, Luke is from Belgium and that is Flemish for "granddad".(I am Bomma.).let's see where was I .Oh ,yes, Bompa made the mistake of helping Kiran and Evelyn fill up water guns. You KNOW where this is going! And a lot more splats! Evelyn had an umbrella and Bompa had a very wet shirt! It was Evelyn's big 7th birthday! Next, pierced ears for the birthday girl! In a 7 year old? And then, as boys...

Cottage Crazy: September 2013
http://cottagecrazy.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 21, 2013. Watching the Sand in the Hour Glass slip away. Off to do some packing and someone mentioned going out for ice cream. That sounds like a great plan. We have had 2 of these umbrellas forever and rarely have used them. It is usually too windy but the last 2 days they have worked like a charm. Probably kept us getting too much sun. We are all a nice reddish brown which should be tan by tomorrow. Links to this post. Friday, September 20, 2013. Oh what an Awesome Day at the Beach.

Sunday, August 31, 2014. Art Show Saturday and Lighthouse Market on Sunday. We really enjoyed the Art Show near North Beach yesterday. We walked up from Paws. Lots of great items. Paintings, jewelry, pottery, photography, metal/driftwood sailboats, pillows, polished wood items and so on. Found two Ibis paintings for Paws and Paddles! A very cool wood medallion necklace with adjustable cord. The Lighthouse is always watching over us as we enjoy the North Beach area. It was much warmer than typical today a...

Cottage Crazy: January 2015
http://cottagecrazy.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Monday, January 19, 2015. Saying Goodbye to Tybee till next Tyme. We enjoyed a quick January get away to Paws and Paddles over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend. The Sunny weather was welcome. Temperatures here in January this week have been warm enough for us to enjoy walking, biking and beachcombing. We have been wearing jackets most days but the local folks are often in short sleeves, shorts, and flip flops. You never know what you will see on Tybee especially on our early morning walks. The sun ...

Monday, May 25, 2015. We loved our quick adventure to Paws and Paddles in May 2015. AJ's sure does it for us. We need to add a sign pointing back to the W in Roanoke, Virginia! Mike at " OUR " Table. The sunrises were also amazing each day. We were blessed with perfect weather. This isn't our umbrella. We have a large shelter/umbrella thingie which is great for coverage/wind.just not beautiful. This one made my heart sing with all the Happy Colors as Tybee legend Jane Coslick would say. Links to this post.

Cottage Crazy: Looking for the SUN...
http://cottagecrazy.blogspot.com/2015/01/looking-for-sun.html
Friday, January 16, 2015. Looking for the SUN. We had already eaten a decadent for us lunch on the water at A.J.s. We even had Wine at lunch! That made it all the more fun and part of the escape. I almost forgot we also caught a glimpse of another boater racing to get in before that sun dropped. A man in a very nice Kayak slid by and he made it to shore just a few minutes before the sun dropped as we were biking back. I have to say even in January life on Tybee seems pretty good. Cottage Crazy: Wringing the Most out of a Long Weekend on Tybee!
http://cottagecrazy.blogspot.com/2013/08/wringing-most-out-of-long-weekend-on.html
Sunday, August 4, 2013. Wringing the Most out of a Long Weekend on Tybee! I think that covered it. We skipped lunch in favor of an early dinner at A.J.s on the Back River. Eating seafood seated on the dock is just a cool thing to do. Food is always good and the view is even better. Here is Alex sitting in the giant A.J.s Chair after dinner. He looks pretty happy! This is one of my favorite photos from this trip. Me and the slightly wet and salty SWGBoy! Here is the handsome SWGBoy. Living at The Woolworth.

A log of our journey on s/v Latitudes. Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Busy That is the only reason I haven't blogged. And I am sorry. We have had lots of company and have lots of friends here. Thanks to our friends who have checked on us! As usual, we have visited the favorite birding areas. This lovely Great Blue Heron strikes a classic pose for us.
