We will verify any medical insurance that you have for acupuncture services and estimate your portion for the amount due at the time of service. You are responsible for any portion that your insurance does not pay. Some may have coinsurance and deductible charges. Some cover limited diagnoses. What are Trigger Point Injections? Trigger points are irritated spots in muscle which are associated with nodes in taut banks of muscle fibers. These areas are a common source of local pain, radiating pain and muscle spasms. These points may be responsible for up to 75-90% of regional chronic pain problems. Activated trigger points can cause pain, decreased range of motion and shortening of the muscles affected. The first step in treating trigger points is to correctly identify the related location.
