An Average Teen Learning to Cope With a Chronic Pain Illness. November 20, 2013. Bull; by Christina. I knew my illness was serious when I started missing school. Before this school was very important to me and I was a straight A student. The only time I missed was if I had a cold or a slight fever. I was in 7th grade when it became a challenge to attend. Since then I have missed years of school. I will go more in depth later, but I am currently a year behind and doing home tutors and online schooling.
