My thoughts.like 'em or not. Saturday, January 31, 2009. Heather and I spent the afternoon with some friends of ours who have a new baby boy. We got to hold him a lot and snuggle. Ahhhhhhhhh. There is just something so simple about holding a baby; they smell so good and are so easy to please. It makes the world all good! I'm not rushing anyone; I can be patient. My thoughts.like 'em or not. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Last night we went to a send-off ceremony for a National Guard unit that will be deploying to Iraq in a few weeks. A friend of ours is the commander of this unit, and we went to show support for him and his family. I am SO glad we went! I still get teary-eyed when I hear the National Anthem, as well as other patriotic songs like God Bless the USA, America the Beautiful, God Bless America, and more. It's the least I can do, and I am so happy to do it!

My thoughts.like 'em or not. Saturday, April 18, 2009. As soon as Heather walked through the door saying "Mom, you know I love you.", I suspected something was up. :-) Behind her was a friend of hers carrying a box and I immediately heard chirping-type sounds. So now we have three small (but loud) new "pets" in our porch. Pretty sure the city (using the term "city" very loosely) ordinances do not allow such pets. When they get bigger, they can go to the farm where there are pens already set up.
