I am nothing of a builder. Laquo; previous entry. Nov 19th, 2020 11:18 pm. Fenella's journal is Friends Mostly. Meaning that while the fic is here for everyone to see, pretty much everything else is locked for friends' eyes only. That said, Hi! I like new friends. Leave a comment and I'll add you. I am nothing of a builder. Topics in Fandom: a Historical Fenella Survey. Nov 19th, 2013 08:53 pm. So I've got this thing where I've been getting this fandom version of intellectual snobbery, in which I put down my 26 year old self's interests. I've been thinking about this a lot - because, hey, like the things you like - and found some dots that I hadn't previously connected. Lets take a gander, gander, GOOSE. Robbie Williams. wow, I guess I really was pre-dispositioned to love One Direction. I ...

First Light: November 2005
http://upatdawn.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
My body was a tool to test the capabilities of my will.". Stephen Kiesling, The Shell Game. Wednesday, November 30, 2005. Happy Holidays, Lightweights! Ahh, back from Thanksgiving break. This time of year is horrible for lightweights. Horrible! What are the holidays about, other than making every half-baked enterpreneur rich and having to deal with the in-laws after they've put back a few too many eggnogs? How much can an arm really way, anyways? Whatever you choose, have a safe and fun winter season!

Fight in the Dog: Bucknell's Methods and Lightweight Rowing - Women's Lightweight Rowing
http://fightindog.blogspot.com/2007/06/bucknells-methods-and-lightweight.html
Monday, June 04, 2007. Bucknell's Methods and Lightweight Rowing. I find two serious problems with this. First, Bucknell, which could lead. The lightweight community, has instead chosen to use. Bucknell's manipulation of the category is further highlighted by the fact that last year, when the student newspaper was writing about the "light eight," the coaches asked the paper not to refer to them as lightweights, but to call them the "2V." Is this a program that supports lightweight rowing? While we're at ...

Fight in the Dog: Wingnuts and Washers From the Weekend - Women's Lightweight Rowing
http://fightindog.blogspot.com/2007/05/wingnuts-and-washers-from-weekend.html
Monday, May 14, 2007. Wingnuts and Washers From the Weekend. A presser about Dayton's silver in the JV eight at Dad Vail originally called the boat the "lightweight eight." Perhaps they did a Bucknell after all. This link. Though, goes to the "2nd varsity" story. The Stanford and LMU pressers about PCRCs are here. Sprints stories are up for Wisconsin. Posted by JW Burk. 14 May, 2007 21:27. I saw Dayton's JV 8 row away from the medals dock and there were at least 6, maybe 7 LW-ish looking girls in it.

Fight in the Dog: Selling Short - Women's Lightweight Rowing
http://fightindog.blogspot.com/2007/03/selling-short.html
Wednesday, March 14, 2007. First, given the genesis of this discussion, let me define a "competitive" crew as one with a credible chance to make the grand final at IRAs or NCAAs. In addition, at NCAAs, I am only talking about the DI grand final (more on that later). I am also going to make the assumption that boat speed among both lightweights and heavyweights is normally distributed. The chart below illustrates this distribution. You see, lightweights, this notion that the lightweight champ is the champ...

Fight in the Dog: IRA Eights - Women's Lightweight Rowing
http://fightindog.blogspot.com/2007/05/ira-eights.html
Wednesday, May 30, 2007. Switch Princeton and Radcliffe, and we enter IRAs in a similar position to that of last year. Wisconsin coming off a Sprints win, Princeton (Radcliffe last year) coming off a strong regular season but with only a silver medal at Sprints, and Georgetown gaining speed throughout the season to finish third at Sprints. It all made for a rather unpredictable national championship regatta. The favorites in this year's first heat. Posted by JW Burk. 31 May, 2007 09:07. 31 May, 2007 09:19.

Tiffin Schools Boat Club: NANTES!
http://thetiffinschoolboatclub.blogspot.com/2011/02/nantes.html
Tiffin Schools Boat Club. Tuesday, 1 February 2011. Every year, the GB junior squad hold a training camp in Nantes. After performing well at trials and winning Hampton Head, beating Windsor boys, a seat on the coach was reserved for me this year. A great thing about doing a camp such as this is getting to know everyone, most of them I will be rowing with nearer the end of the year when they are looking at crew boats for the championships.
