Friday, January 30, 2004. It's a moon-void-of-course day. I'm at work, trying not to do anything important or make any decisions. Sort of a coasting sort of day. The day doesn't seem to know what it wants to be either, cycling through rain, sun, cloud, hail, blue skies. Almost to the week-end! Whew And Sunday we'll see what the groundhog says, in the secular world. Also, we're almost at a spoke on the wheel of the year. To quote from a list of pagan holidays. Posted by mrs random @ 5:33 PM. I do hope so&...

Friday, February 27, 2004. Here we go - Mrs Random pulls her head out of the clouds and her eyes off of the daffodils (aren't they pretty? And takes a look at US politics. Other reasons: Presenting people with either/or or yes/no messages instead of the bigger picture. For instance, the question of "What do we do with a budget surplus? Was rephrased into "Do you want a tax cut? Clever ploy, and it worked. Also, using numbers in misleading ways has worked wonders. Posted by mrs random @ 3:44 PM. Posted by...

Friday, April 30, 2004. It was a trick! I checked accuweather again, and now there is no snow forcast. I'm glad, but it does make a liar out of me! Goes to show, don't believe everything you read on the internet! Posted by mrs random @ 4:07 PM. From your mole in the City Club: today was a debate between Kitty Piercy and Nancy Nathanson. The themes were mainly jobs, jobs, jobs, jobs, and jobs and economics, some nice words about the environment (how sincere, when at the expense of jobs, I wonder? Also the...

Wednesday, March 31, 2004. I'd better schedule some blank time! Posted by mrs random @ 10:02 AM. Monday, March 29, 2004. Beautiful day out there, soft and bright. Wish I were there. but I'm in here. I am getting organized, and more put together, so there is an upside. On another note, Happy belated birthday to Phil, and much gratitude for the Stardustian invite. Our plans were already set though - we went to our friend Cindy's. Posted by mrs random @ 3:28 PM. Friday, March 26, 2004. Monday, March 22, 2004.

It's a kava kava morning, I think. We're having a potluck at work. I hate work potlucks, for several reasons. Reason one: many people here don't eat fruit, vegetables, cheese other than american, or nuts, so it complicates my cooking choices. "Eeeew, what is in that? They like it. I can't believe it. I don't even want to look at it. I'm ov...

Saturday, July 31, 2004. I'm wimping out on the Carnival. I'm watching the light slowly fading, a cd by our neighbor Geoffrey spilling jazz into the room, cats in loaf position, radiating contentment. this is the place for me to be. My part of this show will be in the props and good wishes, rather than physical presence. Have fun, Mr Random! I hope the Carnival is a great success for all participants! Wednesday, December 31, 2003. Here's wishing you all a happy new year! I hope it is smooth and peaceful. Things seem unsmooth here at work, trying to get everything all finalized before the end of the year. And of course, everybody is trying to get their stuff done, and they've all decended on me. ARrgh! Posted by mrs random @ 2:58 PM. Tuesday, December 30, 2003. Here's a good site for choosing what NOT to name a baby (or a cat or a hamster, whatever). We're dying, here! Wednesday, June 30, 2004. No, please, Stardust! The Random House for Wayward Cats is full to the brim, with a waiting list and gate crashers as it is! Given time, I'm sure Carmel Cat and Orange Boy Cat can achieve detente! They have to sort out their differences, and human intervention doesn't help a whole lot, even though you can't help it. from our house you frequently hear cries of "Nigel, leave Riley alone! Riley, stop picking on Nutmeg! Phoebe, knock it off, she was there first! I know I had things ...

Friday, May 28, 2004. Just back from the City Club, ready to spew my report or commentary or rant, as the case may be. Interesting talk today on politics from Russell Sadler. He can be irritating to listen to, but they guy pays attention and says what he means, a good person to have looking at politics and civil shenanigans. President of Americans for Tax Reform. He is also known as the "Field Marshall of the Bush plan", if that tells you anything. It chills me. Why isn't this front page news? I'm kind o...
