Estadounidense en España: Estadounidense en ECUADOR for a month!
http://laurabosque.blogspot.com/2012/10/estadounidense-en-ecuador-for-month.html
Experiences of an American teaching English overseas. Estadounidense en ECUADOR for a month! I spent the month of September doing a TESOL course in Quito, Ecuador. Overall it was a fabulous month and I wish it could have lasted longer. But, alas, I had to return to Spain to work as an auxiliar again. (Don't get me wrong, I am very excited to be here too! This time I will be on the Northern coast in Pais Vasco! View of Quito from the terrace where we ate lunch everyday! Hiking [part of] Cotopaxi.
Estadounidense en España: My Teaching Placement ...and an Update in Photos
http://laurabosque.blogspot.com/2013/01/my-teaching-placement-and-update-in.html
Experiences of an American teaching English overseas. My Teaching Placement .and an Update in Photos. I only work in one school this year, which helped me to feel integrated more quickly. I have a biweekly schedule, so I work with all of the groups instead of a few select classes. Although I still don't teach each student every week, I see them in the halls and some students are in more than one of my classes. My school is the tan one behind the colorful elementary school. The weather was so nice! A 20-s...

Experiences of an American teaching English overseas. This is the restaurant I was trying to find. On the Rialto Bridge. Well, a 50 cent public gondola that is. It lasts about 2-3 minutes and just takes you straight across the Grand Canal with 8-10 other people. All throughout the trip we devoted some time wandering through the cute streets and browsing the little shops of Venetian masks, and this day was no different. Masks were as cheap as 3.50€ and as expensive as a few hundred! Sevilla, round 2.
Estadounidense en España: Where to Begin...

Experiences of an American teaching English overseas. So now that I've been back in Spain for 2.5 months, I think it's about time to write about my new home and my new job. Most of the signs here are in Basque, sometimes without a Spanish translation! Recent trip to Belgium! Although I haven't learned much more than a few phrases in Basque, I do really like their culture; I think it's so fascinating! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. One Love: February 2012

Yes, our blog title is a reference to the Bob Marley song - it's only fitting as our honeymoon was to Jamaica! February 28, 2012. We pulled it off - the first ever shower I've co-hosted! Saturday we celebrated Jamie and Kevin's upcoming wedding, which seems so close now! I'm so excited for Jamie to get married, and I'm so glad we were able to throw her a shower before I move out of town. The banner I made! It looked good :). Mini banner over the dessert area. Red velvet cupcakes with coffee frosting.

Yes, our blog title is a reference to the Bob Marley song - it's only fitting as our honeymoon was to Jamaica! January 27, 2012. To add to a hectic, inefficient day yesterday, the purse monkey comes along and steals more stuff out of my purse! We were eating lunch at my cousin's restaurant in downtown Richmond, and I guess my bag fell over because an hour later when we got to the post office I realized my phone was missing! Because how you could lose all of those things? Abu, you are a sneaky monkey!

Yes, our blog title is a reference to the Bob Marley song - it's only fitting as our honeymoon was to Jamaica! Oh if I could travel the world! There are so many places to go and so little time to go to these places! Perhaps if I try, with patience, to these places I will go. For the rest, it's best I surrender with calm. For many more worlds I will see once in Heaven. The Tip-Top of My List. Trying to be realistic). St John, USVI (or Tortola, BVI). Aruba or Curacao with Whit. Los Roques, VZ. A Blog Worth...

Love & Paella: Don't forget to look up occasionally
http://www.loveandpaella.com/2011/11/dont-forget-to-look-up-occasionally.html
MY NEW BLOG: Love and Law School. Friday, November 18, 2011. Don't forget to look up occasionally. I was walking around Málaga the other day with my friend Claire. Who has the distinction of being the only other user of the one English bookshelf at the public library. If a book I want isn't there, I know it's on Claire's nightstand, and sometimes we've found things each other have left in the books, like bookmarks and papers and such. We should pass notes in secret code, I think. Also, for bonus points, ...

An example of being able to take pictures in not-very-bright situations. You can tell how dark this room was, yet you can clearly see each band member. This was taken with the aperture at f/1.8 and no flash was used. I am not really sure the reason for people buying a 50mm portrait lens, but I think it may be becau...

Yes, our blog title is a reference to the Bob Marley song - it's only fitting as our honeymoon was to Jamaica! December 10, 2011. Yesterday I received an early Christmas present! I started looking around at other lens series to just see if I would be able to get the angle of view I wanted in a different line. I found the perfect one! I found exactly what I was looking for, and the adapter and lens together cost $5 less than the lens I was waiting for, which still hasn't been released for purchase! The ad...

Yes, our blog title is a reference to the Bob Marley song - it's only fitting as our honeymoon was to Jamaica! August 28, 2011. Myers Briggs Personality Types. One of my favorite things to do is analyze personality types. It's so interesting to me that there are different aspects of personality and that each person fits into a basic description of those categories. It's even more intriguing how accurate the descriptions are! That we need to be aware of and work on to get along with others and glorify God...

Yes, our blog title is a reference to the Bob Marley song - it's only fitting as our honeymoon was to Jamaica! November 30, 2011. Chapter 1 of Atlas Shrugged:. Who is John Galt? Why did you say that? Asked Eddie Willers, his voice tense. The bum leaned against the side of the doorway; a wedge of broken glass behind him reflected the metal yellow of the sky. Why does it bother you? It doesn't," snapped Eddie Willers. After I finished reading the Count of Monte Cristo, I have been longing to read another n...
