Tuesday, March 27, 2007. This is the look of horror as Joni sprawls out to "get a good shot" in the restaurant. This is me still looking a bit worried. I believe I might be cowering under the table at this point as Joni is standing on her chair in muddy boots and all to get the "above the table shot". And me again trying to persuade her to end the photo session. As for dinner we had watermelon juice which was fantastic, shrimp, spicy salad, and an eggplant dish. Sunday, March 25, 2007. Tuesday, February 27, 2007. More stairs and a view down. Stretchin' out before the long climb. Getting a little worn out. Getting tough.the stairs go on an on. They hardly level out. We chose to visit on the day with a lot of fog, but nonethless there are good views of the city. The hike is sevral miles straight up. A pagoda, very early on in the hike. Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Hard Rain in downtown Beijing flooded a couple streets. It was especially fun to see how bikers rode through it. Ben, Joni, and I went to the Great Wall at Simatai.
