Chips Ahoy!: Metronomy - The Look
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2011/04/metronomy-look.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Thursday, 14 April 2011. Metronomy - The Look. Posted by Reg Skoda. 2 May 2011 at 08:39. This is a smart blog. I mean it. You have so much knowledge about this issue, and so much passion. You also know how to make people rally behind it, obviously from the responses. You’ve got a design here that’s not too flashy, but makes a statement as big as what you’re saying. Great job, indeed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). CAST, in order of appearance.

Chips Ahoy!: Titanic Struggle
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2011/04/titanic-struggle.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Tuesday, 12 April 2011. GUINNESS and Twiglets were offered at the pit stop this time, and it would have been churlish to refuse. We were out hashing again with the Haldon H3, who don't seem to mind who shows up as long as everyone chips in for the grub and everyone eventually takes a turn at setting the run. Mrs H with Reg(2), DIY Dave with Baxter, JP with Half-Shaved Honey and Dodgeball joined the walkers. At the halfway point, where the walkers tu...

Chips Ahoy!: October 2010
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Sunday, 24 October 2010. Is a song by Nine Below Zero, but that's not important right now. It was my turn to work in the office on Sunday afternoon. No problem there. There's a rota. It's all fairly shared out. Besides, everything went smoothly and on time. It couldn't have gone better. It's just that the best afternoon of the whole autumn was going on outside. It was crisp and cold and clear, with the sun burning down from a cloudless sky. Three re...

Chips Ahoy!: May 2010
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Thursday, 20 May 2010. COULD there have been a better night to run up to the mast? We started at sea level and griped and grumbled our way along the sea front, legs aching from Saturday and Tuesday and feeling our age. JP appeared from behind a parked car and took a picture. Up over Manor Cross we were still grumbling, and Occombe Valley Road didn't help, but then we climbed up through the woods and everything got better. We waited for a moment at t...

Chips Ahoy!: Minutes to Movember
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/minutes-to-movember.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Monday, 31 October 2011. I have just had a shave. I wouldn't normally share such intimate personal details. It's not that kind of blog. But reaching midnight on Halloween with one's face clean-shaven is one of the rules of Movember. For the next month I shall be joining many thousands of other chaps up and down the country growing a moustache. Hence I shall be attempting to grow a recognisable moustache for the next 30 days. Chips Ahoy!: Aching
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/aching.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Tuesday, 18 October 2011. My old bones and joints are feeling the strain. Alan's choice tonight was the hill between Roundham Head and Cliff Road. It's only 168 metres long. We know this because Alan measured it. It isn't even that steep, but by the time you are seven climbs into your set of ten, it feels like Kilimanjaro. Then, Alan being Alan, we would do it 10 times more. All the usual suspects were there, but there wasn't much time to chat.

Chips Ahoy!: November 2010
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Monday, 15 November 2010. FRIDAY night was quiz night over at the cricket club, where they kindly hosted a gaggle of runners without a social home of their own. The rain poured down and gales swept in from the sea, over the headland and across the outfield and the square to hurl drops at the glass doors. But people came despite the rain, and we were snug and warm inside with pints and Terrys Chocolate Oranges to give away. Nigel the Magician led his...

Chips Ahoy!: June 2010
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Monday, 28 June 2010. There is a twig at the top of the tree at the bottom of the garden that is like a kind of Speaker's Corner for the local birds. They hop on and off in turn, say their piece, hurl abuse at the black cat from over the back, and move on. I wonder what they're saying? Posted by Reg Skoda. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Chips Ahoy!: August 2010
http://chipsahoyblog.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Family, friends, football, running, music, beer, chips. Monday, 9 August 2010. THE Torbay lifeboat looked tremendous in Paignton Harbour tonight. coming in on the rising tide just after the Paignton ARC youngsters had brought Wave Dancer in after their training row. Coxswain Criddle brought the Beth Sell = standing in for Torbay's regular lifeboat which is in for a service - alongside after Ken Lane had moved the Dart Princess out of his way, without the use of any bow thrusters, as he pointed out. ELMER...
