Life Comes First Everything Else Second. July 10, 2013. Dangerous Liaisons Post 2. Maybe if I had grown up in a big city that is similar to Paris my attitude about myself would be different. I see women walking down the street all by themselves and they seem perfectly content, I cannot do that back home. I feel more comfortable when there is at least one other person, but here the women seem so confident that they do not need others around them. This entry was posted in Dangerous Liaisons.

Life Comes First Everything Else Second. March 10, 2014. My love of reading and my love of technology. Over the years I have spent my free time (and money! I enjoy the work of the author regardless of what medium I use to read it. I have dreams of owning the largest private library in the world, but I would also like to be able to take my library wherever I may go. Perhaps one day I will own the largest private hard-copy and electronic library in the world.🙂. Posted in Book Love. August 1, 2013. I would...

Good response–café culture is obviously very important here but does take some getting used to! It was hard for me to learn that one is not inconveniencing the server by flagging him/her down to ask for something. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Eighteenth-century satirists and philosophers frequently protested. Could you write a satire. If so, what details would you focus on and why? Overall the beauty of Versailles is somewhat poisoned by it’s history and that relationship is shown throughout the entire visit that a tourist might go on. But, because the touris...Today i...

Life Comes First Everything Else Second. July 17, 2013. Disneyland, Bastille Day, and Fireworks! This past weekend I went to….Disneyland Paris! While it cannot compare (well, actually nothing really can) to Walt Disney World, it was still great to be there! The layout of the park is very similar, but Paris only has four “lands”: Discoveryland, Fantasyland, Adventureland, and Frontierland. First things first though, I had to meet Mickey! Boy was she wrong! And it LITERALLY threw us for a loop! I will neve...

A travelogue of my adventures in Paris teaching in the University System of Georgia's European Council study abroad program. Monday, September 1, 2014. Vive le Québec libre! The Francophile is branching out. I returned this afternoon from spending Labor Day weekend in Wentworth-Nord, Québec at my beloved Daniels sons lake house. Québec, of course, was originally part of New France. 160;and remains a bastion of francophonie. 160;When I go to Québec I am very glad to be a French speaker not only to be able...
