Laura G. Berman. Felt Sculptures and Fashion. Next workshop: Felted Handbags Aug. 1-3 Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, 3 openings left! New work and Recent work in shows. 3 day class, 2014. Each piece of work is unrepeatable. I create from wool fibers using basic but time-intensive wet-felting techniques. Novelty fibers are often incorporated for surface texture. Sewing and needle felting are rarely used in my process. I create nuno scarves that are rich in color with graphic designs on both sides.
