Our Family: November 2014
http://alisonhelquist.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 6, 2014. October has been a very happy, busy month in our home. School is in full swing and both kids are doing well, soccer is in full swing and both kids are having a great season, the weather has turned gorgeous and we are enjoying it, and we have squeezed in some fun family time. As Mike often sings, "Sisters, sisters, never were there such devoted sisters! Lots and lots of bikers and a view of the coast! My wishes and dreams have come true! While running to the door. I hope wh...
Our Family: October 2014
http://alisonhelquist.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 20, 2014. In a desperate effort to get caught up with pictures, I am posting all of September in one fell swoop. 66 pictures deep, be warned! Luckily there was a whole week where we didn't take any pictures at all, so just remember it could have been worse. Cora loves the car. She likes to climb in and push buttons. I think she is "driving.". Her hair still isn't real long, but there is enough for a good stick-up. They woke up, had a quick breakfast, than booked it to Jens's soccer game.

Our Family: January Part 1
http://alisonhelquist.blogspot.com/2015/05/january-part-1.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. We started the new year in a traditional way- with aebelskivers. This is how Cora felt about them. She is turning in to quite a little reader. She likes to be read to- sometimes. But sometimes SHE want to do the page turning and book holding! She is becoming more and more independent and more and more in to everything. Trying to warm up and waiting for everyone else to finish skating. Cora has a special relationship/obsession with the ladies who work at the front desk of our gym&...
Our Family: June 2014

Tuesday, June 10, 2014. Obligatory yearly garden shot. The balloon flowers are my favorite. Don't mind the Easter wreath still on the door. I did eventually take it down. Jens has a new bike. His last one "disappeared" when it accidentally got left at the bike rack for the whole week of spring break. This one is bigger and has more gears. Cora was left inside during the photo shoot. She didn't seem to mind. Last day of school. We braided Sylvie's hair the night before so it would be wavy. This little fac...

Wednesday, January 14, 2015. After Sylvie's festivities we moved into Christmas mode, decorating the rest of our house and going to see Intel Santa! It was Cora's first year and I felt optimistic- I had been practicing with her meeting a life-sized mannequin of Santa at the gym. She really liked the fake Santa and wanted to poke him/wave to him every day, so I thought the Intel Santa would be no problem. Then he became very scary. I had to go rescue her. Trying out Sylvie's skirt and feeling VERY fancy!

Friday, January 24, 2014. Common denominator: they are all REAL cute. Disney World and home again. We got seated for our breakfast promptly, and the buffet was very nice. The chef came out and made some suggestions for Sylvie as well as making her a plate of special pancakes and dairy free foods. Eeyore got to our table right after we sat down, and both Jens and Sylvie were thrilled to see him. We finished with some souvenir shopping and a few pictures with the beautiful castle. The kids were all so ...

Friday, February 13, 2015. Let Christmas Break begin! We were all looking forward to some down time, and it didn't disappoint. Mike and I met up with Laura downtown for a yearly Christmas concert fix by Schola Cantorum. It was wonderful! Mike and I also made a date at a dessert place we had never tried before- the options were overwhelming! And we both made excellent choices. The first day of official vacation:. And saw the lights at Dovewood Ct. This girl loves a hat. They sure looked cute. Quick-draw c...
Our Family: January Part Last

Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Sometimes selfies are the best. I am not sure what exactly Sylvie and her friend, Kendra, were playing, but it was pretty awesome. The costumes that resulted were very impressive! The head dress and boots in particular show real innovation in the world of paper/tape clothing design. We were waiting for Sylvie to get home from school. Cora loves doing selfies. It is a miracle! Perfect for when she gets marker all over her hands. My blueberry bushes are blooming. A lot!

The collection of Laura's South-American adventures
The collection of Laura's South-American adventures. Zondag 22 maart 2015. The origin of species: the original.
