Monday, November 15, 2010. This is Bruce, my brother in law sitting on a torpedo in front of a submarine at Pearl Harber. You probably recognize the memorial that sits above the USS Arizona, sunk on that day that "will live in infamy." It is such a moving memorial to all who gave their lives on December 7, 1941. The LDS Temple at Laie was having an openhouse after it was renovated and before it was dedicated. It was beautiful inside and out. Glad I got to go there! The Pi'i Mauna Firewise Committee.

Thursday, October 21, 2010. Rambutan is a very sweet fruit with velcro on the outside and a seed that looks like an almond on the inside. The velcro hooks are very soft to the touch. Jamie Everill said, "it's more trouble that it's worth." I think it is very tasty and fun to eat. I prefer the smaller ones to the larger ones like these (about 1.5 inches of fruit, 2 inches with the velcro). The Pi'i Mauna Firewise Committee. Cell phone photos Oct. 20.
