Laura K Peters: November 2012
http://laurakpeters.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
November 27, 2012. How was your Thanksgiving? I enjoyed visiting with relatives I had not seen in awhile, joined in on Black Friday festivities with my in-laws, and wondered where all the time went. It seems there was barely time to enjoy Fall decorations. I packed them all up tonight, and am hoping to get up Christmas items before that season is gone as well. My aunt gave me a ceramic cornucopia that my grandma made in 1972. I love it! And corn and a hedge apple from our church Thanksgiving. For my prof...
Laura K Peters: El Zorro
http://laurakpeters.blogspot.com/2013/02/el-zorro.html
February 2, 2013. It really caught me by surprise. I was catching up on reading some favorite blogs, and found this Animal Love: Fox. Post on Design Sponge. The next thing I knew, I was entranced. The first item that did it for me was the scarf. Never mind that it was $85 (yes, was! I just saw it finally went on sale- but is not available anymore. Boo! Never mind that some of the other items were less than appealing. My obsession with foxes began. So I can see it anytime from my seat. Subscribe to: Post ...
Laura K Peters: Homemade Gift: 3 (2012)
http://laurakpeters.blogspot.com/2013/02/homemade-gift-3-2012.html
February 10, 2013. Homemade Gift: 3 (2012). Remember that one time in 2012. That I decided to give five homemade gifts to Facebook friends? Yeah, me neither. Okay, I kid. I actually did get this project done in December and gave it to the recipient within the correct time frame. Jessica is a pretty crafty person, so I had to think of something she wouldn't just make for herself. I found the tutorial for these blocks on Shanty 2 Chic. What I had: cloth, felt for flower back ing, fabric glue,. A few of my ...
Laura K Peters: June 2012
http://laurakpeters.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
June 25, 2012. Sometimes I showcase "items around the house" of little treasures. Most of them were gifts. And/or part of one of many collections. These can also be categorized into "a few of my favorite things" because they have special meaning or just make me plain giddy. Labels: a few of my favorite things. Items around the house. Links to this post. June 23, 2012. I'm not defensive- this is normal. Books 1-9 are found on my nightstand. I almost finished this Book Club. Borrowed from Amanda (BFA).
Laura K Peters: October 2012
http://laurakpeters.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
October 28, 2012. I put together a "Correspondence Basket" for our church basket auction in September. I wanted to include some watercolor pieces, but I have sold out of those cards- so I printed off some copies at home and added a little stitching detail. Current obsession: striped bakers twine. Rather than spend the money at a scrapbook store, I found a package of twelve colors at TJ Maxx. Links to this post. October 21, 2012. Easy quilt cards- trim paper, adhere with tape, sew! Laura K Peters: Time to play
http://laurakpeters.blogspot.com/2012/07/time-to-play.html
July 30, 2012. I love the combined textures of thread and paper. The tan colored base for the first card and the mint paper were finds at porridge papers. Right here in Lincoln. I am a huge fan of gray right now, and I love the cool combination of these two colors. Here are some close-ups to give you an idea of how textured the paper is. (Also shows the back of the card.). Laura K Peters: December 2012
http://laurakpeters.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
December 11, 2012. Because zig-zag stitching is much prettier than glue. Links to this post. December 5, 2012. Still on a sewing/stitchin' kick! To be honest, I did take a little break. Because I could not get the machine to work, and I was getting the teensiest bit frustrated with it. After a little sabbatical, I went in with a cool head and figured out the problem fairly quickly- and sewed these and a few other cards in one sitting. Labels: a few of my favorite things. Links to this post.
Laura K Peters: Not going away anytime soon (Part I)
http://laurakpeters.blogspot.com/2013/01/not-going-away-anytime-soon-part-i.html
January 21, 2013. Not going away anytime soon (Part I). Yes, I am still obsessed with washi and decorative tapes. Here are a few of my favorites for Christmas, since most of them I just acquired lately. Shoutout to my Twin for giving me the black and white polka dot tape from Target! Adding a bit of dazzle to cookie exchange baggies; font: Bebas Neue. This is also a good time to rave about two other current obsessions: porridge papers and OliveBox. I have mentioned the former before here.
Laura K Peters: August 2012
http://laurakpeters.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
August 31, 2012. It can be so nice sometimes to take a break from the computer, and that's why I enjoy making cards with more textural elements, such as layering paper and sewing (see previous post). Birthday card for MIL that matches zebra pattern bracelet and tissue paper. Links to this post. August 20, 2012. A co-worker is due in October, and a couple of ladies organized a surprise shower. I was in charge of e-mail invitation and the actual card we gave her at the shower. Links to this post. The vacat...

Laura B. Kozlowski Photographer. Saturday, February 28, 2015. Jo and John, were a pleasure to work with. Jo was so excited on her wedding day and even her cats were included in the getting ready part. Jo's veil was also a lot of fun for everyone. Here is her story and how she enjoyed her day:. Our flowers were very special. We used a local growers Snell Farms. All our flowers were locally grown. The flower designer Carolyn Snell was very attentive and listened carefully to my wishes. Sometimes real life interferes with posting to this blog, and that's okay. I've been focusing a bit more on posting projects to my LKP Design Facebook page. And enjoying time with the hubby and family. Also on my plate: two moving announcement postcards. I love working on a design that is custom to each client's personality and taste. Links to this post. Tuesday, September 14, 2010. Where did the time go? I almost cannot belive I have not posted since May. Well, I guess I've been a little busy since I had a baby and all, but hey, that doesn't mean I haven't been taking photos. I'm shooting just about every day, but mostly family snapshots in between copious amounts of coffee to fight the sleep depravation. How can you resist snapping a swan pic? Saturday, May 29, 2010. My new favorite shooting spot: Allaire State Park, New Jersey. And snapped a few shots...
