Just another WordPress.com weblog. Laquo; Haggling in Asia! Today (Saturday) is our last day in HCM and ultimately our last day in Vietnam. We started the day with a trip to the independence palace. This was the centre of the south Vietnam operations during the war and housed the president and many of the war strategy rooms. The palace has been kept in almost original condition and no one has ever moved in. We managed to accidentally stumble across a tour group just as we were thinking – is this it?
