Laura Parker: A sandy question
http://lauraparkerstudio.blogspot.com/2010/07/sandy-question.html
Follow my travels as I dig up the menu for Taste of Place @ Studio Barn Diva. Tuesday, July 13, 2010. Do we call it dirt…or soil… and when? This comes up over and over again and I would like to know what you think. My roots are rural Iowa. In my childhood it was always called dirt, but there was nothing dirty about this dirt, that is until it came into the house, then it was dirty. Dirt is the skin of the planet, the source of everything that grows. When does it become soil and why? Is there a hierarchy?

Monday, May 12, 2014. Baby Got Back Problems. This summer, I am taking a huge step forward in my life. After five years of living in New York City, I am moving back to Los Angeles. After years of chasing one singular dream, I am opening myself up to new aspirations and opportunities. I would be eagerly anticipating this new life, but one thing seems to be holding me back…my back. Two weeks ago, I stopped reminiscing about the experience and started reliving it. My body was mimicking its last trauma.

Walkin. Just off of...

And I am posting this about two weeks after the fact. It is amazing how one extra thing in your daily schedule can burn you out. But it is also amazing to think one extra thing in your schedule can lead to new new things and new opportunities. Thursday, January 1, 2015. Painting a Day - Days 88 - 91. September 7, 2009 · 3:25 pm. Ok, people. Place your bets. I’d take all the youngsters to the horse track and make them bet! Exclaimed the well-known entertainment entrepreneur.
