Well world, I can hardly believe it, but the time has come for my final blog entry in the Dominican Republic. Absolutely, completely, 100% nutso! I am ready for church. I am ready for consistent and reliable power and water. I am ready for American food. This also includes all the different types of food one can find in the States, depending on your mood. Salads are a faint memory that I cannot wait for, as well as berries, fresh veggies, Mexican food, Chinese food, etc. Mmmmmm :). I can't wait to drive!

Mucho tiempo ha pasado y yo no he escrito - lo siento mis amigos! So much time has passed and I haven't written - sorry friends! I hope this entry finds you healthy and happy! And while the experience wasn't what I thought it would be, I certainly don't regret making the decision to come here to the DR. It was a small little compact car that held the driver, plus two women and a toddler in the front seat, and 4 women (including me) in the back, not including Molly on my lap. Apparently, we were "lucky that another teacher didn't come in the taxi today". Yikes! 2 The DR always smells the same.and I love it! 3 People here are super friendly and always say "hi".much different than the US where people typically stay to themselves when out and about. Ok that is a whole lot of thoughts right now.hopefully...

Not everything is always so warm and fuzzy. Unless you're a tarantula. Ew. Still grossed/freaked out by that. I was at school this morning, helping Andy read a list of words that Anania (my co-teacher) had written on the board. I was actually pretty impressed with how well he was doing, as he's not typically one to pay attention. Two words from the end of the list, I see Andy get quiet and look like he's fighting tears.
