Friday, January 30, 2009. Not much has changed. Sorry I don't have much more to report for now. Honestly, I am just worn out and a bit beaten down. However, please know how grateful I am to everyone for their support. I have heard from some many friends that I haven't seen in many years. Monday, February 23, 2009. Last Wednesday seems like an eternity ago but Laura did make it home that day. While she was clearly ready to leave the hospital, I don't remember a time in the 24 years I have known her to see her so nervous. Wednesday, February 11, 2009. Discharge date is set. Laura will be discharged from the hospital on Wed. 2/18. The medical staff and insurance company feel that there is no more progress to be made with the intense therapy provided by Zale. Rehab Center and it is time for the next phase. Tuesday, February 3, 2009. More confusion and concern. As many people have noticed from my last few posts or from the tone of my conversations, I have been privately growing very concerned as I have not seen any significant improvement in Laura's condition. Especially after being told a couple weeks ago that the MRI showed a miraculous. Turn around to the anatomy of the brain stem. Monday, January 19, 2009. While seeing Laura early Saturday morning, we got an unexpected visit by Dr. Frohman. When I first got to her room, I was saddened to find her very, very dizzy and not in good spirits.
